  We shopped at a local market for ingredients and then cooked a traditional Basque meal. A vegetarian option was also available. The kitchen was very clean and modern in the Gros area of the city on the other side of the river from the old town. Carlos was very personable and well organized with everything running smoothly. His assistant , Luka, was also very helpful. Wine and cider was made available for each course. I thought the cheese cake we made was better than La Vina with Carlos adding a secret cheese to the mix. We learned a lot and had a wonderful time.

  Carlos offers participants a fun, educational cooking experience. We couldn’t believe the quality and quantity of food that we were able to prepare. It was a highlight of our trip!

  This is a full San Sebastián food experience! Carlos taught us so much about the culture and history surrounding food! My sister and I loved the market tour while we shopped for the fish and meat needed to prepare four delicious dishes! He made the class so fun and we really enjoyed the cider and wine pairing! 10/10!!!!!

  This is a great introduction to Basque cooking and Carlos is s great teacher. I would strongly recommend this course.
