Basilica di Sant'Apollinare Nuovo
The Basilica of Sant'Apollinare Nuovo is a 6th-century church renowned for its exceptional early Christian mosaics. Built by Theodoric the Great, it features stunning depictions of biblical scenes and saints, blending Roman and Byzantine art styles. The basilica is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Dante's tomb and Quadrarco of Braccioforte
The Tomb of Dante is the final resting place of the illustrious poet Dante Alighieri, author of The Divine Comedy. Exiled from his native Florence, Dante died in Ravenna in 1321. The tomb is a small neoclassical structure designed by architect Camillo Morigia in 1780.

5.00Luana was an excellent guide. Her pace was just right and the order in which she showed us the different churches helped us understand the historical relevance of the area. Ending at the Basilica of San Vitale was a spectacular culmination of an enjoyable afternoon. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with her!

5.00Luana is an excellent guide. She is well versed in the history of not only Ravena, but Greek and Roman empires in general. We had a very pleasant 3 hour with her and recommend her without reservation. And, the mosaics are spectacular.

5.00Luana was an AMAZING tour guide for our party of four! She was educated on cultural preservation, had a passion for Ravenna history and the incredible mosaic found in the city. Luana was able to answer all our question and never rushed us through any sight. She was engaging and had a pleasant sense of humor. Finally, on our walk through the city, we also visited Dante’s mausoleum and she recommended a local restaurant (that was a great as her tour). Ravenna and Luana are great!

5.00We had a full day tour of Ravenna & Classe with Luana who speaks excellent English. She is a very experienced , friendly and approachable guide with a great depth of knowledge on the historical context and meaning of the mosaics, churches & basilicas and mausoleums we visited. While we were reasonably prepared, there is a vast amount of visual information to soak in and Luana made it both very interesting and digestible. Understanding the context and meaning of the mosaics was made much easier with Luana's explanations. Highly recommended as a guide for one of the most beautiful cities of art in Italy.

5.00Our tour with Luana was a great pleasure. Although we had read a lot about the history of Ravenna and its impressive mosaics, Luana managed to surprise us with new insights and insider secrets. She was an exceptionally pleasant companion during the roughly three hours we spent together. She also make us valuable sugestions abou other place to visit in Ravenna. I highly recommend this tour, especially with Luana.
