5.00The experience was incredible with amazing views of the bioluminescence. Our guide David was very knowledgeable about the plankton and also the area of Holbox. The tour was organised well and the instructions and safety are also in depth. The paddle is easy and short so it is a good activity for any age. Definitely recommend !

5.00The tour was breathtakingly beautiful. Our two tour guides Jeorge and David were very nice and helped us with everything super. They always saw that the group stayed together and encouraged us to paddle, especially David! It was cool to go into the sea in the middle of the night and walk through the sandbanks. I would do it again at any time.

5.00The tour was really great and can be recommended to anyone who wants to see this experience. The tour guides picked up the people at the hotel and afterwards there was brief briefing by Enrique for the kayak ride. After a few minutes of paddling you have arrived at the spot where you can experience the blue spectacle. Enrique shared information about bioluminescence, but also about the starry sky. Great experience.

1.00We've attended Bioluminescence Tour in Kayak in Holbox Island and it was extremely dangerous. Do not do it! It was 11 PM, completely dark. They put us in kayaks on the open sea. NO LIFE JACKETS, NO LIGHTS, NO REFLECTIVE GEAR, NO WHISTLE. Organiser has never offered us any of that! Some girls in our group have never been on a kayak before and asked for some instructions, the tour guide said, quote "This (kayak paddle) is like a spoon so you do this (rowing motion)", end quote. He barely spoke english, we were translating for each other what he was saying in spanish to english. We had approx 8 kayaks in our group (16 people). Only the guide had one headlamp. If you fall in the water, no one can see you. No one can help. After 30 seconds, the guide stopped the tour. Waves and wind were too strong. And I’m glad he did! But this tour should have never started in the first place, as we've wasted almost 1 hour getting in and out the starting point! No one informed us that the conditions are bad until the tour was stopped! Everything for the money I guess. Even in calm cenotes, life jackets are required. Here? Organiser provided and offered us nothing. At night. In the ocean. In the dark. Not worth the risk. Stay away but if you must pick another organizer EDIT: Now organizer lies that we were offered the life jackets and we accepted the risk of kayaking in bad conditions. We weren't offered life jackets at any moment! And no one informed us that the conditions are bad until the tour was cancelled! Luckily I have a full video recording of our tour from the moment we entered the taxi, till the end of the tour - look at the picture of our group gathering - no one is wearing life jackets.

5.00David was an amazing guide. He knew how to lead us in complete darkness to the perfect location. His knowledge help us understand what bioluminescent are and what is causes such beautiful reaction. I recommend him to guide you through such a prefect experience.

5.00It was a great experience for both of us. Kayaking is totally dark night, was an adventure and when we dived the paddle we could already see that glowing. At the sandbank we got off and learned a lot about the phytoplankton and the overwhelming starry sky. Recommended for anyone who is on Holbox. Thanks again to David, our taxi driver and guide on this tour
