Punta Mosquito
Once the instructions were given, we take the kayaks and start paddling towards Punta Mosquito, approximately 2 km, leaving the light pollution behind (respecting the navigation limits). Looking for the best concentration of plankton We will show you the bioluminescence walking on the sandbank (if the tide is low), you will be able to see how blue or green dots light up in each footprint of your feet and hands, something magical. Later you will go a little deeper to swim and see this magical phenomenon in a different way, with each movement thousands of luminescent microorganisms light up, or sometimes like a neon light around you. If the sky is clear, it will be another spectacle to observe the Milky Way and, depending on the time, some planets and shooting stars; You will literally see stars in the water and in the sky. Due it is a natural phenomenon, the intensity can vary, from 20% to 100%, as well as the tone.

5.00Our Tour Guide, Victor Hugo, was fantastic and really went out of the way to explain and show us everything (we also had Victor Hugo for the sunrise kayak tour, which was also fantastic and would recommend). Bioluminescence was really clear and also had a brilliant view of the Milky Way (our tour guide showed us all the constellations too and explained stories behind some of them). Would highly recommend!

5.00My husband and I really enjoyed the Holbox mangrove tour led by Victor Hugo. He is in love with nature and the conservation of mangroves and the entire ecosystem that lives there in addition to regenerative agriculture. Victor Hugo put a lot of emphasis on seeing the enormous diversity of flora and fauna in the mangroves. We highly recommend the denHolbox mangrove tour with Victor Hugo!

5.00Discovery of the mangrove of the island of holbox by the beach of punta mosquitos. Victor Hugo introduced us to the biodiversity of the mangrove, with its plants and animals (osprey, flamingo, crocodile...).

5.00I joined the 6:30 AM tour and it was an amazing experience. Hugo picked me up directly from my hotel and took us out toward the mangroves. Along the way we saw flamingos, pelicans, many other fascinating birds, and even a crocodile! The tour was well organized, enjoyable, and a wonderful way to start the day. I highly recommend it!

5.00We almost didn't do the KAYAK tour, LUCKY WE FINALLY DID. Incredible effects of bioluminescence and star sight. Victor Hugo, our guide, was spectacular. He explained the causes, conditions and how of this effect. Fully recommended. Un 10.

5.00I had an amazing experience seeing the bioluminescence in Holbox. Our guide, Victor Hugo, was absolutely fantastic, super patient with me since I don’t have kayaking experience. At some point he even put me in his own kayak (probably because I would eventually get lost) and made sure we all felt safe and comfortable. He shared so much knowledge about the area and the wildlife around us, which made the whole adventure even more fascinating. The bioluminescence itself was magical, but what really made the night unforgettable was his care and good humor. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Holbox!
