BIRDING SYDNEY AND BEYOND tours are conducted on easy trails, some bushwalking/hiking trails and walking are required on trails Graded 1 to 4. Trails will run at a relatively slow pace gauged by the group’s ability, with frequent stops and breaks for snacks. Participants must be able to walk at least 6km. By accepting the tour, guests will be agreeing they have reasonable fitness and ability to safely participate in the tour chosen.
It is essential for guests to advise the business at the time of booking of any pre-existing condition, medical or otherwise, that might reasonably be expected to increase the risk of the guest requiring medical attention, or that might affect the normal conduct of the tour and the enjoyment of other participants. This should include, but not be limited to limb or back injury, epilepsy, dizziness, heart conditions, asthma, visual impairment, deafness, depression or recovering from recent surgery, allergies, or special dietary requirements. A guest may be requested to provide medical clearance from a qualified medical practitioner.
Due to the physical activity in our tours, all new clients over 69 years of age will be required and agree to complete a medical clearance from a qualified medical practitioner.

5.00Absolutely amazing tours with Simon. I did a day tour which included Budderoo and Barren Grounds National Parks. Birding was incredible with beautiful scenery. We also had great coffee, some delicious meat pies, and excellent local craft beer. Highlight birds from the day were Superb Lyrebird, Southern Emuwren, Glossy Black- Cockatoo, Wedge-tailed Eagle and many more. I also did a multi-day trip to the Blue Mountains and Capertee Valley with Simon. We had great coffee again and great local food and still more craft beer. The scenery in this part of Australia was yet again beautiful. Highlight birds were Beautiful Firetail, Rockwarbler, Little Lorikeet, Spiny-cheeked Honeyeater, Scarlet and Hooded Robins and Pink-eared Duck. In total I was able to record 120+ species (more if we counted heard or quickly saw) and over 30 lifers. Simon is an excellent guide and knows where the birds are knows how to get you on the birds. He is very easy-going and a real pleasure to spend time with! Would book with Simon again!

5.00Absolutely amazing tours with Simon. Day 1 was the urban birding half day and day 2 was the all day Blue Mountain tour. In total I was able to record 80 species (more if we counted heard or quickly saw). I’m from New York and had never been to Australia before so 72 were lifers (and this was a work trip for me so what a treat to get that many in 1.5 days! Simon is phenomenal. So knowledgeable, so lovely to be with, and is hospitable and we went to delicious food spots and had good treats in the car. The pacing was fabulous and Simon knows great spots to go and how to make it all so comfortable. Highly recommend.
