This spetacular walk encapsulates the essence of Brava: the remote valley hamlet of Sorno making miraculous use of its little stream to farm extensive green terraces up the mountainsides; the vivid, slightly menacing sea; the barren mountains; the ghost villages that are tetament to livelier times, and periodically, big brother Fogo Island looming from across the sea. The walk is suitable for any walker of average fitness.
