On this popular road trip, you will pass through beautiful countryside scenery and the real Ethiopian way of life in action - farmers, rural communities, towns cut off from each other. At the destinations, you will visit the ancient Debre Libanos Monastery (and its cave church), the famed ‘Portuguese Bridge’ built in the 1890s, the Nile Gorge with its abundant endemic birdlife and gelada baboons and enjoy a view of Addis Ababa from a viewpoint set at 3,300 meters above sea level (Entoto Mountain).
Please note spotting the Gelada Baboons can be a matter of luck, as they live in an open park.

4.00This was a fun tour, but I wish I had known to wear tennis shoes rather than flats. You need better shoes to walk on the rocky trails to see the Rift and to visit the baboons. The ride was long and bumpy, but the views were amazing, and we got a feel for Ethiopian towns. I loved the coffee and lunch stops - great experiences.

1.00The tour was 1.5 hours late. They rushed it by removing one location & reduced 2 hours of exploring at other stops to 30 minutes. When I complained, they sent screen shots from my place of employment and threatened to inform my employer of the dispute. Their response to customer complaints is completely inappropriate. I have documented lies and threats from this company, and the other two members (strangers to me) of the group confirm the elimination of stops and rushed experiences. I would never book with them again. Very poor representatives of beautiful Ethiopia!
