Kangaroo Point cliff face is a unique sight in the heart of Brisbane, climb the cliffs whilst they are lit up in the evening. The urban cliff offers a unique rock climbing experience, allowing beginners and the experienced to be challenged by its various routes. After learning the basic safety procedures you will be able to familiarize yourself with the vertical world in this 3 hour evening activity.

Activity is subject to favourable weather conditions. If cancelled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or in certain circumstances, a full refund

Participants under 18 years of age require a waiver to be signed by their parent or legal guardian.

As this is not a catered activity,you are required to bring your own food and refreshments to keep you powered up!

A moderate level of fitness is required due to potential physical nature of the activity.

Enclosed footwear should be worn, ideally runners. We suggest you bring water and a light jacket (breezes pick up in the evening)

Minimum participant age is 8 years old (participants under 13 can climb only, they require a parent or legal guardian to belay them) and all participants under 16 years old must be accompanied by an parent or legal guardian)

Not recommended for people with noteworthy medical conditions, these may include: asthma, epilepsy, angina, diabetes, back or leg related physical concerns or conditions associated with pregnancy. Please contact your local operator prior to booking if in doubt.

Please wear non-restrictive clothing that suits the weather on the day.

Our 3-hour sessions are perfect for beginners and intermediate climbers. With hundreds of routes available, ranging in difficulty from beginner to elite, there is literally something for everyone. Meet your Pinnacle guide at the base of the cliff where you’ll run through some basic skills – tying in, belaying technique, climbing movement. From there, you’ll be heading straight up the cliff and finding out why so many folks are getting hooked on the sport! Our awesome guides are highly trained, fully accredited, and totally stoked! They’ll teach you everything you need to know, as well as take care of the safety procedures and provide all the gear, including harness, helmet, climbing shoes and all other equipment. Sally and Jarred were professional and helpful and made this a great experience. It was good fun and a lovely view over Kangaroo Point from the top at night

Thank you Rowan! I am not great at heights and I absolutely loved doing this, he was very calm and professional which helped me do it. such a great spot and to do it whilst sun was setting was perfect. There was a young boy who was doing it as well and Rowan was great with him and the entire group encouraged him, loved it!

I brought my youngest son to do the sunset abseiling this last Saturday as a present...from the off Rowan made it really good fun and his enthusiasm was infectious as well as reassuring....though scary at first there was never a time when I felt unsafe. My son Einar was very tentative on his first go but by his fifth actually got down the wall in about 10 seconds!!! and no he didnt fall! The views were amazing in the sunset light as Rowan gave stories of his life climbing skyscrapers as his day job...seriously good value for money and I will most definitely be doing it again with my two older sons...A+ all the way!

Our guide was Simon. He was amazing - knowledgeable, friendly and extremely easier to relate to. Myself and my partner could not recommend this experience more highly. We cannot wait to have another go - maybe at the Glasshouse Mtns.

Rowan was absolutely brilliant as the instructor in our group. He was very informative, knowledgeable, supportive and mature. He made the experience and challenge fun and enjoyable and if it wasn't for him one of the ladies certainly would not have been able to complete the challenge. I would certainly have him again in any challenging situation.

The best part of abseiling at Kangaroo Point cliffs was the Trainer, Ronan, who was super good at dealing with nerves, support when climbers were caught in a situation they didn't know how to get out of and general support. It was a small group of 4 which allowed time for us to have 2 goes each - great size of group.

Fantastic Fun!! My daughter and I did the Kangaroo Point on Friday night under an awesome sunset. Big shout out to Pinnacle Sports who were great after patiently re-booking us a number of times due to Covid and border closures. On the night of the experience our guide 'Simon' was especially encouraging and an all-round legend. Recommend this to anyone adventurous enough to have a go!
