What To Expect

St. Stephen's Basilica (Szent Istvan Bazilika)

You will visit the impressive Saint Stephen's Basilica built for the memory of the first Hungarian king (died in 1038). It has many statues and frescoes, as well as the mummified right hand of the first king. The church is open every day, except Sunday morning religious service.

I would absolutely recommend this tour. I have a lot of mobility issues and our tour guide was very accommodating to my physical setbacks. He went very slowly so I could be comfortable and that was greatly appreciated. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions about each place we went. He was very kind and friendly and overall a pleasure to be around. Go ahead and book it!

Picked us up at the hotel and spent over 6 hrs seeing the sites and learning about the history of Hungary. Guide was extremely knowledgeable and explained all the details at each site we visited.

This was a phenomenal tour! First - I highly recommend taking the public transport option. The Budapest Metro was great to use and it was also very fun to take the tram and the bus. Our guide, Bea, was absolutely incredible! She took us all over the city and was so knowledgeable and fun! This was our favorite tour experience out of our entire Europe trip and we can’t recommend this enough!
