Budapest is gorgeous at night and a cruise is the best way to see the lights. We were seated inside upstairs but luckily able to step outside the back deck for clearer photos. The staff did a great job of managing the stairs with trays of drinks and were very personable.

Buy tickets in advance. Sold out on a Saturday night. While they provide over the ear headphones, not sure they are cleaned in between. Bring your own 3.5mm earphones to be sure. The only disappointment was the young wait staff. I requested a sparkling water for my free drink. She did not write anything down when taking orders and she had at least a dozen passengers. When she returned with the tray of drinks, she had forgotten mine. She apologized and said she would return. Meanwhile the narration of the sights was ongoing. There was no good time for me to get up and walk back to the bar where the 5-7 wait staff had gathered to talk. She finally gave me the drink and it was regular still water. This ruined the overall experience.

The cruise was everything it needed to be, nothing stood out or wow’d us. It was cramped on the top deck of the shop with people standing where they shouldn’t be. If you had a seat downstairs I don’t think the views would have been as good. Limited seats upstairs.

Great value trip and so good to see the banks of pest and buda from a different perspective. So different lit up at night. Complimentary drink and friendly service.
