Chocolates Perez
The origin and manufacture of chocolate in Villajoyosa dates all the way back to the 17th century when sailors practiced the coastal trade trading salted fish and almonds for cocoa pods. The very first chocolate factory was established in 1810 and there once was more than 30 chocolate factories in this town. We will visit the small family run chocolate factory of Chocolates Perez and taste the best chocolate in town! ***Sundays the chocolate factory is closed and will not be included on this day. Instead our guide will take you to a local bakery to try a local sweet**
Villajoyosa
After visiting the small family run chocolate factory we will visit the beautiful colorful old town of Villajoyosa. We will walk along the coastal promenade and into the heart of the old town all while listening to stories from our guide.

We went on the Villajoyosa/Altea tour with Alberto and it was incredible! Alberto was a very knowledgeable guide and we saw some great sights that we never would have seen otherwise. The chocolate factory we visited in Villajoyosa also had some of the best chocolate i’ve had in my life. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Alicante who wants to spend a day outside of the city.

My wife and I had a great day. Thanks to our outstanding guide and driver, Alberto. He shared the history and evolution of the Alicante region, the colorful City of Villajoyosa and the whit mountain town of Altea. Along the way his stories were entertaining and his manner was relaxed. He offered all sorts of suggestions, for during the tour and for other days. The small group aspect of this experience was perfect, as there were just 4 of us, two couples. Rebecca, who seemed to handle the reservation, responded to emails quickly and answered all questions. This was a winner all the way around!

Beautiful little town by the sea. Picturesque with its colorful houses. Bars and restaurants all along the beach. An experience to live.

Villajoyosa is a charming place, with its houses and buildings full of colors , a walk that invites you to tour it for its number of stalls to drink, eat or just enjoy the view q provides with its seagulls fluttering.the beach has all the necessary services.

We were staying in Alicante. On the advice of another visitor we took the tram up the coast towards Benedorm. The tickets were easy to purchase at the station, the tram system modern and easy to understand. Cheap as well. 4 Euros each return. We stopped at Villajoyosa and explored the little town. Highly recommend the village. Best place we visited in Alicante. Tram ride also worth while as gives you a look around at the coast line.

A really nice day trip to see the beautiful coastal towns of Villajoyosa and Altea with top guide! Guide was very knowledgeable, entertaining and had us laughing a lot of the trip! Loved visiting the small family run chocolate factory and trying all different types of chocolate. These towns are a must see when visiting Alicante. I recommend the Ali-Oli Tours team as they organized a few different tours for us that were excellent and really made some memorable experiences for myself and family while visiting Alicante. Thank you!

What a fantastic area to visit with its colourful quirky homes and beautiful beach. The weather was in early 20’s / late teens throughout our trip and suited us perfectly. We will definitely be returning
