  Patrick and Sexy Eddie were awesome guides for this excursion. Nice air-conditioned van and the group wasn't large. We learned so much about the island from their stories. First we spent an hour at Grote Knip beach - absolutely beautiful! Wish we'd had our snorkels with us. The beach has chairs and umbrellas that you rent for $15. Would suggest sitting on the first one you find and then go find the attendant to pay. We got the last umbrella! The snorkeling with the turtles was also fun and we loved the pictures they provided. I would warn though that this is not for weak swimmers. There were 2 elderly couples with us that my husband and I had to help back to shore as they couldn't get past the shoreline with the waves and rocks that are there. Water shoes are a must at both beaches!

  This was an amazing experience! During the ride, Patrick and Sexy Eddie guided us by giving us some history of the island, funny stories, and witty banter. We had a great area to leave our belongings while swimming with the turtles. And the Knip beach was absolutely stunning. Bring a towel for the beaches, some cash for lunch, and snorkel equipment if you don't want to rent it at Knip Beach. They provided bottled water, soda, snorkel equipment and life vests for the turtle beach.

  The beaches are good. The turtle experience violated so many environmental rules. The guides were feeding the turtles so that the tourists could get pictures. The trip from the hotel to the north was a shocking presentation of historical inaccuracies, culminating in the claim that white people are not to blame for slavery, but that the Africans sold their people. So many inaccuracies about the country - e.g. 5 mm of rain per year (it's actually 570). And repeated comments about the locals being lazy and that is why the plantations closed (instead of poor soil, the end of the slave trade, and the shift to an oil-based economy). The presentation was like listening to a born again minister the whole time. Yelling in the microphone. I was hoping for a relaxing day of seeing the island - it was anything but.

  This experience was awesome. One beach that was beautiful, to lounge and relax (Grote Knip). Another location to snorkel and see turtles, live in 4K. Patrick and Eddy are great hosts. I caution to be a confident, capable swimmer/snorkeler because you will float in the open water, not in standing height, though of course you can stay in the standing height area, but may miss out on the turtles. I’d highly recommend though. Patrick will send you some awesome pictures.

  Patrick was an amazing guide and the 2 beaches that they took us to were absolutely gorgeous. unanimously voted the best excursion of our whole trip.
