Taroko National Park
One of Taiwan’s most famous destinations, Taroko National Park is known for its marble canyons, lush forests, and towering peaks. The Liwu River has carved the stunning 18 km Taroko Gorge, where sheer marble cliffs rise above turquoise waters. Our visit includes highlights such as the Taroko Gorge Entrance Arch, Visitor Center, and scenic viewpoints along the gorge. Although some trails remain closed due to the April 2024 earthquake, your experienced guide will take you to the best open spots with breathtaking views and hidden photo opportunities. We dedicate a significant part of the day to exploring Taroko, with short walks, plenty of photo stops, and a relaxed pace. Sightseeing duration may vary with traffic, weather, or park rules, but your guide will adjust the itinerary to ensure the best experience. This full-day tour usually lasts around 8 hours, so starting before 8:30 AM is recommended.

5.00Main part of the trip is a tour to Tarako National Park where there are some stunning views and deep gorges which cut through steep white marble hills. Also enjoyed stops at dramatic, windswept beach (too dangerous to swim), and interesting large scale temple, some local street food, and a reconstructed Japanese Colonel’s house Our guide Alex was cheerful, responsive to our needs - we substituted the temple trip for a hike - and obviously very experienced

5.00Alex is a true legend. Had loads of fun with him during the tour, he really made the experience unforgettable. Not only is the tour diverse in content, it's fun, entertaining and a stunning experience throughout. I'd wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone in the area!

5.00I had a great day. I totally recommend. Thanks to Jimmy, everything was perfect. This allowed us to better understand the culture of Taiwan and Hualien. The tour was very well prepared and it is a big plus to have someone who knows the Taroko Gorge and the surroundings because it is not necessarily easy to access when you do not know. Thanks again!

The tour was varied, informative and very well organized – we visited not only Hualien but also the impressive Taroko Gorge nature reserve and were enthusiastic about the landscape and explanations. 5.00A thoroughly enjoyable day of sightseeing and culture with our tour guide Alex! We visited a number of sights throughout the day with Alex providing information and commentary on everything we saw! He also advised on some itinerary changes that might be suitable due to some poor weather. We enjoyed a delicious lunch of Xiao Long Bao that was some of the best we’ve had in Taiwan! Overall a wonderful day and very well priced tour with a great guide! Alex also took some wonderful photos for us!!

5.00We had a great time with Jimmy on our day trip to Taroko Gorge! He was super kind, knowledgeable, and most importantly flexible and responsive to our needs as we had young kids in our group. We weren’t sure what to expect with Taroko NP only partially open but it was very impressive. We also appreciated how Jimmy went out of his way to make sure we tried local foods and had a good experience. Very highly recommend!
