  The tour was quite relaxing along the canal. The seats were comfortable and it was warm inside even though the weather was quite poor outside. The staff were very friendly and informative of the area and the bar area had a good stock of drinks and snacks on offer at a good price. Our tour wasn't too busy so there was a lot of room to pick your seat which was nice. The only issue we had was that the captain was talking about the sites we were sailing past over the speakers however it appeared only one or two speakers were working so where we were sat, we were unable to hear any of the information being provided.

  Crew very helpful. Chose to go on boat to learn about the area etc. Found audio very interesting but noise from passengers too engroseed in own conversations was distracting.

  Yes a very good one hour on the river with commentary. Myself and my wife had a drink on board we enjoyed ourselves.

  Nice little cruise going down the River Ouse, especially when the sun is shining. Not very disabled friendly if you are wanting to sit on the upper deck, you would think they would evolve and have a wheelchair/ disabled portable lift in modern times. The most disappointing aspect though was the commentary or lack of it. Would have been nice to hear what little was said, could hardly hear what the captain was saying. Would not recommend for the price paid. Cost £24 for a senior, a child and a free carer.

  Everything about the trip is great, apart from the fact that the first half of the trip doesn’t really go anywhere or show you much of any real interest. The boat then turns around, returns past the start point and travels down the river in the opposite direction where all the points of historical interest are. The crew are all great and the talk guide is very entertaining and exuberant in her performance in story telling, and so I can say that we did enjoy the trip, and that it is priced sensibly for what it offers. Take this trip on a sunny day and while away an hour or so on the open top deck, lovely. On a cold wet day, wrap up warm snd stay on the top deck as you might not get the best out of the trip by staying under cover below.

  Staff polite and friendly, comfortable seating and environment. Trip was pleasant but not very much to see. Sadly no running water in toilets.

  First of all it was not easy to find exactly where the boat was and it would have helped to have a signpost at the top of the steps. The crew were friendly and helpful. We sat inside but could not hear the commentary and to be honest there was very little to see of York except pretty houses, lovely trees and some nice barges. It was a quick turn round and not really value for the price.
