In this experience, you'll be in direct contact with nature. We first visit the beautiful port of Río Lagartos, where you can take a boat ride and observe various local species: crocodiles, the natural beauty of the mangroves, and the main attraction: the flamingos. You'll also enjoy a Mayan bath. Afterward, we'll visit the pink lagoon of Las Coloradas, where you can take excellent photos. Next, we'll head to the archaeological site of Ek Balam, where you can climb to the top of the pyramid. Finally, you'll visit the Mayan underworld through a beautiful cenote where you can enjoy Yucatecan cuisine. Travel safely with our transportation, which includes travel insurance and the service of a certified local driver who will help you arrive safely at your destination, ensuring a pleasant and unhurried experience. Rio Lagartos
Ría Lagartos is a protected natural area. In this beautiful place, you can take a boat tour where you'll see beautiful mangroves, crocodiles, herons, pelicans, and flamingos. You can also enjoy a Mayan clay bath, which serves as a skin exfoliant. (Boat tour not included). IMPORTANT (experience cost/payment required on site) Boat Tour of Río Lagartos Option 1: ($750 MXN per person, minimum 2 people) ($550 MXN per person for groups of 3 or more: service in Spanish) Option 2: ($850 MXN per person, minimum 2 people) ($700 MXN per person for groups of 3 or more: service in English) It is important to confirm in advance if the boat tour is in English, as it is subject to availability. If you do not confirm, it will be assumed that the service will be in Spanish.
Las Coloradas
To continue with the tour we will visit the pink lake or lagoon of "Las Coloradas". The water and the surrounding environment are incredibly salty, attracting brine shrimp, plankton, and red algae. As the water evaporates in the sunlight, these organisms become more concentrated and eventually create the famous bright pink water. Because the salt we consume is processed there, it is forbidden to enter the water but you can take a tour around the lake and take incredible pictures. (Entrance fee not included but optional). IMPORTANT (Experience cost/payment required on site) $460 MXN per person.

1.00It was not made clear that we would not be accompanied by a tour guide all day. This was only a driver who dropped us off at different locations. It would have been a little better if the driver could have educated us about the locations along the drive, but we did not learn anything that we hadn’t already looked up. On the boat ride, we did not get much info due to a language barrier. If you have a rental car, skip this. I highly recommend the company update their description to make it clear.

5.00We had a fantastic time on this tour with the highlight being the flamingoes - yes, they are quite far away but you can climb out the boat to get a bit closer! This is also one of the few temples you can still climb in Mexico and the cenote was a whole complex with a range of free activities and a buffet lunch so there was something for everyone, thanks again to our guide!

5.00Our driver Mika was accurate, super friendly and helpful to answer all our questions or curiosities. The trip with him, although long, was very pleasant and fun. We recommend this tour as it gives you the opportunity to make several important stops in a single day.

5.00A great, safe and interesting day of activities with a wonderful, knowledgeable, friendly and flexible driver. Los Lagartos was definitely worth the ride, and so was Ek Balam. Far less overwhelmed by tourists than Chichen Itsa and you can climb all the way up!

5.00Beautiful boat trip, surrounded by nature populated by various species of birds and crocodiles. The salt pans have indescribable changing colors. Also very interesting is the archaeological site of Ek Balam. Overall a beautiful day.

5.00We had an amazing experience with Mika and Julian as our drivers/guides. They are super friendly, on time, very attentive. They even prepared a small breakfast box for us as the pick up time was very early (6:20am). I travelled with my mum and it was just the two of us on this day trip. Note that this is only a transport package, you have to pay for each activity.
