Nguom Ngao Cave is a natural wonder nestled in Gun Village of Cao Bang Province in Northern Vietnam, which lies near the Vietnam-China border. In the Tay language, "Nguom" simply means cave, while "Ngao" means tiger. Together, "Nguom Ngao" stands for Tiger Cave. One of the most striking features of Nguom Ngao Cave is the colors of its stalactites. These stalactites, formed over millennia through mineral deposition from dripping water, have calcium mixed with various impurities. These impurities may include minerals like iron or copper, which add hues of red, brown, green, or even blue to the stalactites.
