Quinta do Bomfim, acquired by George Warre for Dow's in 1896, sits in the "well-placed valley" near Pinhão, a legacy continued by the Symington family since 1912. 3.00Enjoyed the beautiful scenery on the river, but to be honest - a one hour tour would have been adequate. We found this a bit too long. Must mention the very clean washroom facilities onboard - much appreciated!

5.00Very nice and pleasant two-hour boat ride Rabello on the Douro with tasting of a port wine. Beautiful landscapes of the Douro Valley. After the walk, by car you can discover two viewpoints with superb and breathtaking views of the valley.

4.00The walk in the Douro Valley, is impressive. The rabelo boat is very good and comfortable... But the wine tasting part came down to a shot of port wine in a small cardboard glass...

5.00From easy and smooth online booking including timely reminders of the date/time of the tour to the actual boat experience, we were impressed with the professionalism and efficiency of the company. The tour itself was as expected: beautiful and serene and not to be missed. Exceptional!

4.00Overall very pleasant and relaxing trip on the river. Beautiful views, mainly of vineyards on the hilly banks of the river. There is a "canned" pre-recorded commentary playing in multiple languages. Included a very small taste of port in a paper cup. The staff seemed uninterested in engaging with the guests on board in really any way, to an extent that felt almost unfriendly. This contrasted strongly with a previous river trip we did elsewhere the day before where the staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful, and it seemed to come naturally, it was part of their personalities. Guess what - the friendly and helpful staff from before got a great tip from me and others, but I did not tip these guys and I don't think anyone else did. The trip was very pleasant and good value, but the experience was a little sterile.
