Peranakan Houses
Peranakan townhouse are double-storey townhouses of the Straits Settlements. The front of these houses are so decorative with Chinese characters. It is distinctly oriental, but the floral plaster motifs look Western.
The church was founded by a small group including Joseph Prince, Henry Yeo, David Yeow and Jack Ho in 1983. It was later officially registered with the Registrar of Societies in October 1984. It began its Sunday service with an average attendance of 25 people. Gradually, it grew to about 150 members.

5.00Eliza was a charming and informative guide to a part of Singapore I had not visited before. The food she choose for us at the Hawker Center was excellent. The chicken wings were the best I had ever had and Eliza cheerfully got us a second helping!

3.00I was disappointed in this tour. For the price we paid I expected a lot more for my money. I felt like I was just wandering markets with a guy who just had his own agenda, we lost him several times. There was definitely no alcohol but the description led me to believe there was. We were to choose our food (I told him countless times to choose for us) even though I thought the guide would choose the best eats for us. We walked past so many stalls (100or so) but three of our dishes came from the same stall right at the end (it was probably one of the least exciting stalls of the whole night). The guide was nice and took great photos. I could have had six nights out at the same place for the money we spent and I wouldn’t have had to deal with awkward conversation and him trying to sell other tours to us.
