  This experience made visiting Machu Picchu such an easy and rewarding experience. Guides pick you up right from your hotel/hostel and lead you through the full circuit we spent about 5 hours in total, from being picked up at 6am from our hostel, to being dropped off by bus back in town around 11-12. Going in February made for smaller crowds and we ended up with a private tour of Machu Picchu. Having a knowledgable guide who knew the history and general pace of where you want to spend your time, stop for pictures, etc definitely made the trip more worth while. We did route 2-A and it gave us amazing views from above of the city and surrounding area, along with a tour of the city itself. Definitely glad we chose this one. Worth the fee but note that when booking, it may not include the bus ride up the mountain.

  Amazing tour. Miguel paced the visit perfectly between the views, photos, lessons, and breaks. Communication had us worried in the days leading up to the trip, but the day before it was all cleared up and the tour went off without a hitch. Go early, get circuit 2, and hope you get Miguel. Thank you Treppid!

  I wasn’t able to make it, my bus didn’t allow me to make it on time. There earliest bus from ollantaytambo was 6:40 and didn’t get up to Machupicchu till after 8am and they did not allow me in.

• Rip-off, stress & misinformation. Do not buy here! No compras ahi!

  You get a ticket, but it's not the 'real ticket'. There's no price on it either: it actually costs half as much. Then you get an email to pay again...I am lucky to know Spanish, so I was able to clarify everything...when finally, the night before my ticket came, it only said a little less than half the price I paid. Also, the information about the route I booked and the availability were incorrect. So: if you want to go to Machupichu: just buy the ticket on the spot! No way on the net or at least not at Viator!!!

  We had a very good experience with Treppid Travels - it was great to get in front of the queues to the buses for MP. Moreover, Lizandro was a great guide and provided a lot of insights about Machu Picchu and gave enough time for viewing the scenery and taking pictures

  I have to say thank you for an amazing experience at Machu Picchu. Visiting there was an item on my bucket list and I am so glad to have done it! And I have to give a lot of thanks to my amazing guide Edwin. I ended up paying for a private tour as I needed to move more slowly than others due to a knee injury (I didn't want to slow people down, nor did I want to speed up unnecessairly). Edwin was very understanding of that and we moved at a pace that was both healthy and helpful for me. And we still covered everything! Besides being responsible and adaptive to needs, Edwin was also very knowledgeable about the site and provided lots of additional context and details beyond the simple explanation. I really appreciated that he could sense what I was interested in and wanted to know more about, as well as the fact that he was open to lots of questions (note: I am the person on tours that really wants to know the details, and I unapologetically ask questions to make sure I understand or satisfy my curiousity). Additionally, I really appreciated that in setting our pace, he was considering things like weather and other factors (important during low season as mist comes and goes very quickly) to make sure we avoided rain, could take clear pictures of picturesque moments, and navigate the crowds to get relatively peaceful moments to really take in the architecture. Outside of the explanation of the major things, it was also great to get to know Edwin personally and hear his stories and experience as a guide who has been doing this for awhile. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and can recommend Treppid Travels. Hopefully you get as good luck as I did and get Edwin as a tour guide - you won't be disappointed!

  Lisandro is a passionate and knowledgeable guide. He also gave us ample time to take pictures and offered assistance throughout the entire tour. We learned a lot! It was an intimate group of 6, so it was easy to follow and listen to your guide.

  My parents came to visit me in Peru this week and it was a must that we came to Machu Picchu. We did Circuit 1 which was a great view of the ruins. Our tour guide Lizandro was very informative and we learned a lot. I would highly reccomend coming to see this beautiful site and using a guide in your native language.
