Essaouira ex Mogador is an old town located at the edge of Atlantic Ocean founded by Sultan Mohamed ben abdellah 1760 located 170 km from Marrakech about 02h30 drive. Essaouira remains one of the best destinations from Marrakech. Essaouira has a fishing port where fishing is mainly sardines. Just like Marrakech it is an important tourist attraction. A small visit of the souks is essential with the splendid sight of the ocean since the ramparts and mainly since the Sakala. On the road to Essaouira, you will find many argan trees. These trees grow only in the south-west of Morocco. Trees at the age of forty produce fruit containing hard cores containing again seeds from which argan oil is obtained. This oil is used for cosmetic or culinary purposes.

5.00My experience was very very good as this is my first time to Essaouira with Yassine who made my day trip run very good and smoothly, as we did make a stop on the trees to see the goats on top and been to buy some delicious Amlou with Argan oil then wi did head to the main city and then he took me to the fish market to have some fresh fish then he took me some pictures in the old medina and we drove back to marrakech i would love to thank Happy way tours and specially Yassine who made my day trip look very fabulous ill definitely would re-do the trip with happy way tours

5.00Another fantastic visit. We had a great day out in Essaouira. Yassine is a superb driver, very cautious and respectful of others. We learnt a lot from him, both cultural and historical aspects. He's fun to be with. He promptly picked us up at our Riad and organised a guided tour of Essaouira for us. We had lunch in a small café with some fish our guide helped us buy fresh from the local market. A worthwhile local experience. It's not the first time we go on tours with Yassine and we always have a wonderful time. I would highly recommend his company. He's professional, kind and the prices are good value for money.
