The 3 day tour to the desert was a once in a lifetime adventure. We travelled during the summer so the heat was beyond intense but of course, to be expected. The time in the car was extremely long but once again, expected. My recommendation is that you sit at or toward the front of the van as it is well air conditioned compared to the back. On day one, we were seated in the very back row and it was miserable. Days 2-3, we were in the front and it was very pleasant. The final destination made the trip worthwhile. While we had the option to ride a camel on the way into the camp and the way back, you can also choose to ATV to the camp. (It costs an extra 400 dirrham—around 40 USD—per person to rent an ATV). Due to the heat, our guide recommended that we ATV since it is faster. The ATV in the desert was such a thrill with the most beautiful backdrop. We booked the luxury tent with A/C which should be the only way to go. A few people in our group booked the standard and said they could not sleep due to the heat while we were very comfortable. The grounds and the tent we stayed in were amazing! We rode camels back the next morning and it was a good way to end our time in the desert. Along the way, we stopped for 2 guided tours. The guides were informative and fun. Our main guide Haadi was very informative, kind, and charming. He is the one who stayed with us the entire 3 days and made the experience great. Our driver was nice and definitely skilled in driving the roads we took. Overall, it was a wonderful experiences as long as you are prepared for a long road trip and ridiculously hot weather if you are visiting in the summer.

The highlight of the tour was the canel rides and staying in the tents, and of course our tour guide, Youssef Ali. He is nice, friendly, and manages practicalities well. Takes care of the crew and creates a nice experience. The food along the way was average, but in the tents was very good. Thanks to all organizers.

Had the best time with our tour guide Yasin. It was a long but beautiful drive out to the dessert and once you arrive it was the experience of a lifetime. Highly recommend for any travelling to Morocco.

Awesome 3-day desert trip! Had the best time on this tour! Abdul and Yousef are absolute legends – super friendly and made the trip really fun. Everything was well organised and on time, and the places we visited (and the hotels) were great. If you can, go for the luxury camp – it gets really hot in the normal tents. Just know you might be away from the rest of the group at night if they didn’t book the same. We loveeeeeeee it!!!!

I want to write a review of the 3 day tour to Merzouga and i want to be transparent, id give it 5 stars but it also does have some tourist traps since the places where we stop for any breaks or lunch are around 2-3 times more than the prices you can get in Marrakesh but understandable since they are taking tourists around so something to bear in mind. the tour starts at around 7:30 and we head to the atlas mountains and see the views and they are incredible, we also stopped at an area where they explained the process of making oil as thats one thing that morocco do well, i took part in the process making so was enjoyable, we also stopped for lunch which was 12 euros before heading to Ait Zineb which was amazing, we also got to learn about berber and the language as well as going to the shops to buy kheffiyah's which are fairly priced and are useful for the camel ride which is done later on the tour, there were a few souvenirs that we could buy, this tour is going to cost 20 dirhams, we then head to Tinghir and see the gardens which are beautiful as well as stopping at a carpet shop, where they explain how they make it and with what materials they use, you can buy it here and they are willing to ship if you want to buy it or you can buy a smaller carpet, we then head to the canyon and it truly is beautiful, we then head to a hotel for the night, which i am guessing who could be in charge of this tour but not too sure, but dinner is provided and its an all you can eat which is great. theres also a swimming pool at the hotel and the rooms are decently sized and have an AC and a fridge which is very useful as i would recommend to buy water beforehand, since the places we stop, water usually costs 20 dirhams which is 2 euros when it usually around 5 dirhams around Marrakesh. the next day we get up around 7am for breakfast which is also all you can eat before we head towards Merzouga, we did make a few stops for people who needed to take cash out at an ATM, as well as places to go to the bathroom before going to a restaurant for lunch. for lunch something to bear in mind is that is it cheaper to pay with cash than card as they charge 120 dirhams with cash or 130 dirhams with card, but if you want to buy extra drinks then these will cost so bear that in mind. we then got to the desert around 7pm and there is the choice to do quad biking in the Sahara and this will cost 400 dirhams for about an hour. other places in morocco are cheaper but with how beautiful are desert is i would say it is worth it but it depends on you (they only accept cash so make sure to have this or you cannot do quad biking here). we also did camel riding and this experience was unique and wonderful and this is done twice once in the evening and then the day after during the sunrise. once we got to camp, there is dinner which is all you can eat and afterwards there is a drum event which is where we dance and play the drums. the tents can be quite humid if you didn’t buy AC but i think its around an extra 70 euros for it for a night so its not worth it. we then have to get up at 5am as this is when breakfast is which is also all you can eat and then we head off around 5:45am for our second camel ride which is beautiful, then we make a few stops along the way for breaks and lunch which is also 120 dirhams. the journey back takes around 10 hours with all the stops but it was enjoyable. the things i would recommend is to talk to your group as you will only enjoy it as much as you put the effort in, i brought some card with me and we all played together and it made our bond stronger and getting to talk to everyone allows you to learn about others and their perspectives. if there was one thing that could be changed about the tour is that if we had an extra night in the desert as you don't get a huge time there but also it makes you saviour it more. i'm sure there are tours which are 4 days instead of 3 days but that would probably cost more and thats understandable. i would say be aware of any tourist traps especially with the water prices and if you can but 2 water bottles 1.5 litres and then keep them with you as you can put them in the fridge once you get to the hotel. but to genuinely enjoy it as much as possible, i would say put yourself out there, talk to as many people and take part when they ask for volunteers as you will enjoy it more, get out your comfort zone and enjoy the journey!
