At 8 o'clock in the morning, your private tour guide and driver will be waiting to pick you up at the lobby of your hotel and take you for an approximately one hour ride to visit Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. Named the eighth wonder of the world and greatest excavation in the 20th century, this on-site museum boasts thousands of life-sized terracotta warriors and horses sculptures created by ancient Chinese in Qin Dynasty for more than 2,000 years ago. Later, you have have an opportunity to try some authentic Chinese food for lunch catering to the locals at a nearby restaurant. After lunch break, you will be chauffeured back to the city to visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda which is an historical imperial Buddhist temple built to store important sutras and relics brought back from India by the high monk of Tang Dynasty, Xuanzang. Next, visit the marvel of ancient Chinese engineering of 600 hundred years old City Wall built in Ming Dynasty for panoramic views of Xi'an. Later, stroll along the Bell and Drum Towers Square and local Muslim Market to experience local lifestyle. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your downtown Xi'an hotel. Optional evening activity of Tang Dynasty Dinner Show is available at additional cost. The is the most splendid and unique musics and dances show that recreates the life of imperial court. A Chinese dumpling dinner with a variety of different dumpling fillings and shapes will be served prior to the show.

5.00It was a really enjoyable trip with Kathy. She was very patient in explaining the history of each place we visited and making sure we understood her explanations. The arranged lunch was also very delicious, even my parents really liked it. Kathy didn't rush us, the time given to us was very flexible. There were no mandatory shops. Kathy even recommended places to buy cheap souvenirs and places to eat locally. I highly recommend if you need a reliable tour in Xi An.

5.00Kathy is a good and fun guide who puts everything in place, introducing us to all the history of Xi'an in vivid patterns. The meals he took us to were very good, the only downside was that the food was too much, too full 🤣. You can't miss this guide to Xi'an! Pick her.

5.00I found Kathy's Tours through the internet while researching for a trip to Xi'an and onward. I had been to Xi'an over 20 years ago and was about to re-visit with my husband and sister-in-law so had some idea of the layout of the city and environs and what there was to see and do. We had limited time and wanted to maximise our experience. I e-mailed Kathy and explained our plans to see what she whether she could help.. Right from the start of our communication I knew I had found a gem !! Kathy was really knowledgeable, responsive and HONEST !! She helped me with everything I asked of her - even when it was not going to involve her business. She even managed to book us tickets to the Shaanxi History Museum on our non-tour day - and these tickets are like gold dust !!! We only had one day available to have a tour in Xi'an and initially we were going to be guided by Kathy herself but due to unexpected circumstances Kathy had to find us another guide at short notice. On the day our guide was Nancy who was EXCELLENT. Really enthusiastic and interesting. She knew what we wanted and was able deliver everything as well as being able to be flexible and accommodate changes we wanted to make to our itinerary as the day went on. Between Nancy and the driver we saw and did everything we wanted including collecting train tickets for our onward journey which was really helpful. The driver was calm, not erratic and knew the routes and traffic thoroughly. Nancy was a fountain of knowledge, knew all the shortcuts and best places to take photos so we didn't have to stand in line waiting. They were both very caring and conscientious about our comfort and safety as well as fun !! Our day included a "local lunch" which was the best food we had in our 10 days in China. I had not wanted to bother with it but was really, really glad we did. And then - imagine our surprise - Kathy herself took time out of her own busy day to come and meet us briefly at the restaurant - just to say Hello. That is REAL personalised service !!! Although Kathy was not our guide she provided constant backup to Nancy with advice and ticket bookings when we wanted to do something unplanned. We had a brilliant day and all left Xi'an wishing we could have stayed longer to enjoy more of this Team's wonderful hospitality and passion for their heritage. We have no hesitation in recommending Kathy and her crew. It's so reassuring to find people who are totally invested in the service they are providing and want everyone to have the best experience possible. If you are going to Xi'an - CONTACT KATHY.

5.00We spent 2 days with Kathy on private tours to visit the Terracotta Warriors museum and Hua Shan mountains. The tours were wonderfully arranged and her attention to details and kind consideration for our elderly mom (in her 80s) where she managed her needs carefully. She’s very knowledgeable in history and the surrounding areas, and she provided us guidance on various other matters which are not related to our tour to make our visit in Xi’an / China more memorable. The meals she arranged for us are also great especially when she took care of our dietary needs too. Happy to recommend Kathy to any keen visitors to Xi’an who are looking for private guide that speaks great English and flexible to work within your own plans.

5.00Kathy is a very trusted person. You can be rest assured of her service and punctuality. She ensure us good food as per our taste. Also, the hotels where we stay was so accessible to shopping which was our request especially near Muslim sfreet, Grand Tang mall and near to places of interest. From arriving to departure, as we are senior citizens, we felt a sense of safety and confort. Strongly recommend her to all. Wish her every success and health always. Will see her again for our next trip. 😍😍

5.00The tour was great! After I registered, Kathy contacted me via Whatsapp. She shared great tips e.g. what hotel to book, local authentic food and even a massage with snacks after the trip. She speaks excellent English and very standard Mandarin. Highly recommended.

5.00It was such a great pleasure to go on tour with Kathy. My itinerary included some things outside of the normal tourist interests. Nothing was too much for Kathy to help and put a program together that fitted to my wishes. The communication with her was fast and she has shown great trust. Not only did she provide with a great tour and driver, she also came with a better hotel suggestion at a similar rate than I had booked. I was picked up at the hotel, precise at the agreed time. Kathy gave me quite some information about the area, history of the region and of China in general. We left a bit earlier than normal, so we did beat basically all the crowd at the Terra cotta army, leaving us plenty of time to discover the rest of the day program. Nothing was too much for Kathy. If you are looking to get most of your time, just make sure to get Kathy on board of your time.

5.00We only had a very short stay in Xi'an and therefore booked a private guided tour for one day. Kathy showed us all the sights and told us a lot about the area and China. In the evening she got us tickets for a very nice dinner show and even organized the transfer. All in all a perfect day - thank you Kathy!

5.00Kathy was super well spoken and provided a great deal of information about all of the monuments we saw on our whirlwind tour of Xi'an and the Terra Cotta Warriors. She has been giving these tours for 15 years and it shows! She was VERY helpful walking us through Muslim street and the rest of Xi'an and was patient with our group the whole time. Definitely recommended!

5.00Our tour guide Kathy was the best guide I have had on a trip anywhere. She met us at our hotel with a private van and driver promptly at 8am. We visited the Terracotta Warriors, had a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant, viewed the city wall, the bell and drum towers, the Muslim Quarter, and Big Wild Goose Pagoda. At every stop we made Kathy gave us accurate and interesting facts about the site. Her knowledge of the history of Xi'an and all of the sites we visited was extensive. She could give you as much or as little about the place as you wanted to hear. With her as our guide, we went to the best spots to view various sites. She led us to vantage points instead of just pointing us at a door and giving us a time to meet up. It was truly a guided private tour. Having been on tours in China before, I must say that Kathy is the most professional guide I have ever had, and she made the experience extremely enjoyable. She went at our pace, which was important because my wife and I were traveling with my parents on this trip, both of who are in their 70's.
