Cần Quan Tâm

Our's special excursion takes you to the pilgrim village of Ranakpur, located in Sadri town in the Pali district, between Jodhpur and Udaipur. Meet your chauffeur in your hotel lobby and drive to the rural village of Ranakpur, one of the five pilgrimage destination of the Jain community. Tucked away remotely in the valley of Aravali range, Ranakpur is home to marvellous temple complexes. The highlight of our day trip to Ranakpur is the magnificently glorious Ranakpur Jain Temple. Legend has it that a local Jain businessman named Dharma Shah began constructing the temple to honour a divine vision from Adinath, the first Jain Tirthankar. Construction began in the 15th century during the reign of the provincial monarch Rana Kumbh, after whom the town is named. Designed as a Chaumukha (four faced temple) the quadrupled image of Tirthankar Adinath symbolizes his conquest of the four directions. The stone carving is based on the ancient Mirpur Jain temple. With 29 stupendous halls, featuring 1114 distinctly carved pillars, built in pure white marble, the marvellous temple is absolutely divine. It is believed that the white marbles turn in hues of blue and yellow when the rays of the sun fall on it. After an incredibly spiritual afternoon in Ranakpur, we return to your hotel where your tour concludes.
