This tour is all about experiencing the best of Rio - hiking to stunning peaks, exploring hidden caves, and cooling off in waterfalls within the incredible Tijuca National Park. Along the way, we’ll keep an eye out for wildlife like toucans, monkeys, sloths and coatis, while our guides share fascinating facts and stories about the park.
Rio is world-famous for its breathtaking scenery and is home to one of the largest urban forests on the planet. In this 4–5 hour adventure, we’ll visit the park’s top highlights and immerse you in the unique energy of this natural paradise. To ensure a personalized experience, our groups are always small—no more than 7 people per guide.

5.00Our tour guide picked us up right on time and brought us to Pedra Bonita and Taunay Waterfall. Our tour was on a Sunday so it was busy, but our guide was able to secure a parking spot at the start of the Pedra Bonita trail. We were able to see various fauna and had plenty of Capuchin monkey sightings to and from the peak. Our guide took plenty of pictures for our family and was very accommodating. She was very insightful on the history of Tijuca Forest as well as the history and current events going on in Rio de Janeiro and Brazil. At our request, she dropped us off at the botanical gardens after the tour and recommended some restaurants nearby.

5.00I loved the tour and Didi was a fantastic guide, knowledgeable, kind, and full of fascinating stories. Going on a Tuesday meant I had the overlook and waterfall to myself, which was super lucky. Overall 10/10, definitely recommend!

5.00We had a great time exploring Tijuca National Park, and Didi was a great guide. We saw lots of wildlife and the views at the top of the mountain were incredible. All, in all, it was a lovely day!

5.00Had an amazing afternoon on this excursion. Informative, small group and beautiful park. I would have to say that our tour guide Eduardo made it that much more enjoyable. Very knowledgeable, helpful and a lot of fun! On way back gave great tips on where to go eat in Rio and suggestions were the best! Get Eduardo as your guide and you’ll have a great time!

5.00Great experience! It was my first day in rio and I was happy to have a guide like junior! He showed and explained us a lot about rio and gave us some great tips for the next days aswell! If you are with a few sportive friends I advice you to book junior as a private guide because he will show you even more as the hiking parts don't take as long as with some slower strangers! They have small groups everytime but you can be unlucky that there will be some slower people in the group. Nice experience! Thanks again Junior!

5.00Very good and friendly guide (Fábio Serfaty),he tells us a lot of informations about nature,animals etc. He choose parts of the trip himself to avoid crowd of people,that was great. I had a wonderful time and really recommend this half day trip.

5.00The best private tour with my family! I booked a private tour since I was traveling with my wife and my five-year-old son. We wanted something that was going to mesh perfectly with our time and our physical capabilities. We started off with the hike at the national park. After about an hour and a half, we made it to the summit and had the most beautiful view of the entire city and its landmarks. Our guide, Didi was the absolute best. He was patient with us and kind. After that, we got a beautiful tour of the waterfalls and had the opportunity to get into the water and enjoy the waterfall. It was a wonderful half day tour. Some other things to mention – all of the communication was done through WhatsApp. They messaged me the day before just to confirm and Didi followed up with me to let me know what to bring on the tour. He picked us up from our accommodation as well. 10/10!

5.00The hike was beautiful, and our guide Rodrigo was very knowledgeable and friendly. As an older person, though, I would say it was strenuous, and Rodrigo was sensitive to that, which was appreciated.
