Haedong Yonggungsa
Haedong Yonggungsa is one of the few Buddhist temples in Korea located right by the sea, offering stunning views of the East Sea. Built in 1376 during the Goryeo Dynasty, the temple is known for its unique coastal setting, peaceful atmosphere, and striking statues including the golden Buddha. Visitors can walk along a scenic path, cross a stone bridge, and enjoy the harmony of nature and spirituality. It's a perfect place to find inner peace while soaking in breathtaking ocean views. UN Memorial Cemetery
The United Nations Memorial Cemetery is the world's only UN memorial cemetery, where fallen UN soldiers who gave their lives for the cause of world peace and freedom are laid to rest. As a UNESCO World Heritage Park, it offers a detailed insight into South Korea's war history. In November 1955, the National Assembly of South Korea resolved to permanently donate this land to the United Nations as a gesture of gratitude for the sacrifices of UN forces, designating the cemetery as a sacred site. 5.00Our family joined this Busan tour and it was the best decision of our trip. The temple was absolutely stunning and easy to walk around, even for my parents. The guide was thoughtful, making sure everyone stayed comfortable. The UN Memorial touched our hearts, and Gamcheon Village was fun for the kids with all the colors and art. Everything was well paced and stress free. It was a perfect family day filled with stories, laughter, and kindness. We’re really grateful to our guide for all the kindness and effort.

4.00Good combination of sights and information, some places could have used less time and others more time but overall it was a fine introduction to Busan and its history and culture. Our guide was lovely, just sometimes hard to hear and understand (English isn’t her native language but I understood that going in). Driver did great navigating and our group was timely, which is appreciated when there’s limited time to explore off a cruise ship. We didn’t see everything but enjoyed the things we did get to see and do.

5.00This is a long day with lots of walking . But very interesting and value for money. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly and very helpful We got to go to a number of interesting places in Busan i in particular enjoyed the Buddhist temple and also fit in some shopping in the cheap shop Our guide tried to accommodate all the guests needs and was as i said very helpful even changing currency at good price

5.00Visiting Busen on a Cruise. The date coincided with international Remembrance Day 11th November. I was hoping to quietly reflect on the significance at 11am. I was astonished to be given the honour of attending the service in the UN Memorial cemetery. Our guide reorganised the day to ensure we were on time and in a perfect position for the ceremony. The memory will stay with me forever. Later that day we visited other interesting sites in Busen and enjoyed a delicious Seafood lunch (at our own cost). DK our guide was very friendly, organised and professional. A wonderful day in Busen.

5.00The temple by the ocean was unforgettable. The sea breeze, the sound of the waves, everything felt magical. But what really made the experience stand out was our guide. She was calm, patient, and genuinely caring, making sure everyone enjoyed at their own pace. When we reached Gamcheon Culture Village, she even offered to take photos for us and shared little known local stories. I could feel her love for Busan in every explanation. Truly one of the best guides I have ever met.

5.00Had a wonderful day in Busan with Erica as our guide. Erica was great and so informative and patient. Such a vibrant city, really enjoyed our visit to the temple by the ocean and seeing the old cultural village. Also visited the UN cemetery to pay our respects to all the soldiers from Australia and other countries who fought with Korea and lost their lives, we thought it was depressing as we were on a holiday high laughing and joking having just come off the cruise ship. It made me cry, was very moving.
