A visit to the destination enshrined as Natural and Cultural Heritage of Humanity (UNESCO) crossing the homonymous ravine, discovering exceptional landscapes, towns and cultures. Unique towns are shown, such as Purmamarca, famous for the setting of the Cerro de los Siete Colores, Maimará, with colorful slopes called Paleta del Pintor. Tilcara stands out for its Pucará (high fortress) whose ruins have been partially destroyed.
Uquía shows its chapel, built in the 17th century, worked in laminated gold, Humahuaca gives its name to the Quebrada and is its largest population, with cobbled streets and iron lampposts on the corners, it is also the highest point of the route, 2,940 meters above sea level. Main attractions: The Independence Monument, Cathedral Church and Municipal Building.

4.00Excursion chosen as the only option to visit Purmamarca and Humahuaca if you don't have your own vehicle departing from Salta. We were able to see absolutely remarkable landscapes and enjoyed the stage of Humahuaca, very exotic. You should know that this one excursion is very long, and at a steady pace, we left around 07:30 and returned around 19:00. Very tiring because in an aging minibus, noisy and not comfortable while the roads are not in very good condition. Our guide (Fabio) also drove, he was friendly but because of the noise in the minibus we had trouble hearing his comments (in English), we would have preferred to have a guide who was not a driver and could focus on his explanations. In summary we do not regret having made this excursion considering what we saw in relation to the time we had in Salta but would have preferred it to be in better conditions with a good vehicle. Ideally to do again with a stage on the course.

5.00Excellent service contracted. Punctuality and professionalism. Besides being much better priced than other agencies (same excursion lower price). Luis, your driver and guide, friendly always pending and predisposed. If you are traveling to Salta and looking to get to know each other, La Quebrada Turismo is definitely the best option.
