Teide National Park is one of the best places to admire the sunset in Tenerife.
In 2013, Teide National Park was declared a Starlight Tourist Destination and
Starlight Reserve by the Starlight Foundation and since then the number of tourists interested in astronomy has grown, making Tenerife a popular destination for astronomers worldwide. The low light pollution inside Teide National Park (declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site) is what makes it the perfect place for stargazing in Tenerife, as here you're almost guaranteed great night sky conditions, which will allow you to observe varios stars and constellations.
Tenerife has a special law in place in order to protect these pristine star-watching conditions inside Teide National Park, by controlling the flight routes and limiting the light pollution inside the park.
At an altitude of 2000 meters, we will discover the constellations designed by our ancestors and their brightest stars.

We start picking up people from the south area only. Costa Adeje, Playa Las Américas, and Los Cristianos. Pick-up is from the given meeting points only. If you are at a place which doesn't show up in the list of meeting points. please communicate this with us in order to provide you with a meeting point closer to you. The first ones collected will also be the first ones to get dropped off. Important to know is that we communicate exact pick-up time in the morning day of the excursion using WhatsApp of by phone call.
This is a local town where we'll visit a typical restaurant specialized in grill. We'll have a 3 course menu starting with a vegetable soup, bread with canary sauce. For the main course we'll get roast chicken with canary potatoes and salad. For desert we'll have some cake. Drinks are also included like local red and white wine, water, 7UP and Pepsi. Any other drinks are available at the bar for an extra charge. Also there is vegetarian or vegan option. Grilled vegetables with rise, canary potatoes and salad. The restaurant also provides gluten free option, and or lactose free. For lactose free we have fresh fruit for desert. Children have a special menu. Chicken nuggets with french fries. The menu is basic but the portions are good and the food is tasteful. If you are very specific when it comes to food, we recommend to book the no meal option and you may bring something you're more comfortable with and enjoy it at the restaurant.

Stargazing with Telescopes: This option allows you to follow us using your own vehicle and get to the area for sunset and then to the stargazing at 2000m

5.00Wonderful trip, coach to sunset at1000m, beautiful but try to move away from the crowd to get a good picture. The star gazing at the volcano was so interesting and looking through the telescopes was amazing! Our guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable I learnt so much. The meal on the way up was nice but not really what this was all about. Do listen to the advice to wear warm clothes as it got very cold up there under the stars!!
A great trip but put aside 6 to 7 hours for it!

4.00we had a great time. lots to rave about and only minor gripes. Pickup isn't from every hotel, so we needed a taxi to and from the bus station on Emramada which added 80 euros to the excursion. Pickup was bang on time and our host Aussie was full of fun & information. the pickup protest took quite a while, over an hour before we turned towards Teide. then you stop at an average restaurant for those who bought the meal deal to fill up. the rest of us have an hour twiddling thumbs on plastic chairs on the terrace. Finally around 6pm (almost 3 hours after setting off) you get to the sunset spot to see the dramatic horizon. the off again to the star gazing area. 6 telescopes are setup, aussie illustrates with a somewhat difficult to follow laser pointer. then you can take it in turns with the other 40 on the bus to look through the eye piece at Saturn, the moon and various constellations we were blown away by this. definitely worth it.and the guide really knew his stuff. finally back to the south, dropping off around 6 1/2 hours after we started.

5.00It was fantastic. Our guide, Ozzy, was the best. So very informative and very knowledgeable about the experience with a lot of humour thrown in . Stars are obviously his passion. Great afternoon and evening out. Would definitely recommend.

4.00Guide was a great storyteller throughout the experience, it was interesting to listen. I did not like the food. It was pumpkin soup as entreé, chicken with potatos as main and yogurt with nuts as dessert. The stargazing with telescopes was great. We saw saturn 🪐, the moon 🌓and I think it was a supernova. It was also super cold, so if you want to experience it, then bring a jacket or blankets.

Your guide was very good at explaining the universe in such a way a layman can understand. There was plenty of time for everyone to view through the telescopes. I got some amazing photos.

5.00From booking, to pick up,to the stargazing; the whole experience was excellent! We started with a simple but tasty 3 course dinner & wine at a local tavern, with the other people in the party ( we counted at least 6 different nationalities!) we then stopped for the sunset 1500m up the mountain which was magical. Then continued up to the national park where Ozzi the tour guide explained stars, galaxies and planets with such passion and humour! ( and in many many languages!) We looked through telescopes and photographed the night sky. Although a lot of people, everyone got to see the stars. It was well organised and truly amazing. When it was finished (and a bit cold) our amazing driver Rico smoothly drove us all back. Would recommend 100%
