  Sebastian was very knowable and pleasant. We had full confidence in his ability and he was careful to tell the historical information during our conversations.

  This tour was operated by JAT, not TJ travel as indicated on the Viator app. It was very very poor. They were 1.5 hours late picking us up from the cruise terminal, the driver did not appear to know where the ship was docked and another person waiting had to try to direct them on her phone. Because they were so late a number of the stops were missed. We had a hasty tour of Aix en Provence with no free time,. and a short stay at the old port in Marseilles and not enough time to get lunch. The Basilica was also visited and another photo stop overlooking the sea, but we missed; Abbay Saint Victor, Gallon des Auffes and Palais Longchamp. The guide was very difficult to understand, her English was very heavily accented and particularly on the bus, did not appear to be speaking into the mike as a result on the bus it was an inaudible mumble. She had to refer to Google translate a number of times. She never introduced herself and we did not once get an apology. We repeatedly asked what the revised itinerary would be , and it was never announced, and we were given assurances that we would be back at our ship by 4.30pm. Eventually we were put off the bus outside the other cruise port at the edge of a motorway at 4.40pm and had to get taxis to take us back to our ship about 7km away, and we had to pay for the taxis! We were told that the bus driver was from Aix and wasn't taking us any further! The response from Viator says that they organised the taxis - this is absolute nonsense. the 2 from the tour chased 2 taxis away before we flagged ours down. It was the worst tour we have ever been on, and we have used Viator tours for many trips. The response to our complaint to Viator has been very disappointing. Viator should disassociate from this tour company as soon as possible

  Moderately strenuous Vehicle was not appropriately sized for trip. Passengers should not be crowded into front middle seat Air-conditioning not working properly Guide was not basing speed on needs of participants.

• Be prepared to walk over a mile each way just to get to and from your bussing!

  Be Aware- you will receive an email the day before your arrival letting you know there will be approximately a 7 minute walk from the cruise port to your bus. However, that approximate time was very inaccurate! While I expected to walk on the tour, I had no expectation of walking OVER a mile from the port to our bus and the again over a mile after our tour was over back from the bus to the port in a non shaded area! Depending on how fast one walks, it took most at least 15- 25 minutes to make the walk each way. What made it worse is that on the day of our tour it was over 90 degrees, so most of us were sweaty and hot before the tour started and a sweaty mess getting back to the cruise ship. We were the ONLY tour that did not have bussing available right at the port, all others did! The air conditioning on the bus was not very cool and did not cool the bus as it should. On a positive note, the tour guides did a good job and were informative. We took over different tours on our vacation and this is the only one I would not recommend!!
