For this full day tour, we will visit three incredible places that are completely unique to this area. As well as learning more about Costa Rican coffee, we will visit Poás Volcano, one of only seven active volcanoes in the country. We will then see over 100 species including rescued sloths and hummingbirds in the La Paz Waterfall Gardens. This is my favourite trip in the San Jose area, providing you with a great combination of picturesque scenery and the chance to get up close to many species found in Costa Rica.

We will be traveling by the Coffee Land of San Isidro, Through many small coffee plantation in Alajuela, where you will learn more about the history of coffee production in Costa Rica, the process of how coffee is made in this province with a great viewing point to take photos across Alajuela. Poas Volcano
We will travel up to the Poás Volcano, which is one of the seven current active volcanoes in Costa Rica! After we reach the impressive main crater, we will then hike to Botos Lagoon and follow the trails around the volcano to explore nature.

5.00This was easily the best tour I have ever been on! Our driver and tour guide were so friendly and patient and took great care of us! They shared their knowledge of their beautiful country throughout the day and gave us plenty of time to see everything and take as many pictures as we wanted, while still keeping the tour going at a good pace. Everything was perfect! A few tips for anyone thinking of booking this tour: -Wear sneakers/hiking shoes with good treads -Bring a jacket or sweatshirt, as it's quite chilly at the volcano -Bring a rain coat or poncho for the waterfall, just in case (we didn't need one, but we got lucky!) -This tour is physically demanding. If you have an energy-limiting condition, pace yourself. Luckily, there are several times during the tour where you can choose a less taxing route. -Bring snacks! It's a long time between pickup and lunch! -Bring sunscreen I absolutely recommend booking this tour with this company! It could not have been better!

5.00This was an awesome packed experience, definitely contains more than one day worth of things to see and do. Poas was awesome and the hike was really enjoyable. La Paz was also great with plenty of animals to see up close, and the waterfalls are mesmerizing. And La Cacita Del Cafe was also really nice. Olman was an A1 tour guide. Just make sure you slept well the night before so you're ready for a full day.

5.00Our tour included a visit to Poas Volcano, La Paz Waterfall Gardens, and the Medio Sol Media Luna coffee plantation, and this tour was one of the highlights of our trip. We started at the Medio Sol Media Luna coffee plantation, where we got a walkthrough of the entire process, from growing and harvesting the beans to roasting and brewing. Out tour guide, Raquel, was exceptional. She was knowledgeable about Costa Rican history, ecology, and coffee culture, and she made everything so engaging by involving everyone in the group, asking questions, sharing fun facts, and even demonstrating parts of the coffee producing process. It felt personal and interactive, not just a scripted talk. After that, we headed up to Poás Volcano but here we were a bit unlucky since clouds rolled in, and the crater was not visible. The part that we enjoyed the most was La Paz Waterfall Gardens. We explored the animal sanctuary first, getting up close to rescued toucans, we saw many hummingbirds and butterflies. We also got to see sloths, monkeys, jungle cats, and more. Then we had a delicious buffet lunch there with traditional Costa Rican dishes. Finally, we hiked the trails to all five waterfalls. Each one was more breathtaking than the last, with picture opportunities everywhere along the way. The views are straight out of a postcard. If you're in the San José area with limited time, this tour packs in so much of Costa Rica's natural beauty, wildlife, and culture. Raquel truly made it unforgettable.

5.00Really enjoyed the tour! Learned a lot about the history of Costa Rica and seen some incredible sites. It was well organized and everything ran smoothly throughout the day. Raquel was super knowledgeable and really nice! Olman was great and very accommodating picking me up from Airbnb. Highly recommend!

5.00We had an amazing day with our tour guide Olman. When you come to Costa Rica you have to try the coffee, see a volcano, and see a waterfall, in this tour you do all three. At the coffee plantation our guide explained the process of growing and harvesting the coffee and shared some really interesting information. We next went to Poas volcano. We were told ahead of time that it's 50/50 with the weather being too cloudy to see the crater. The weather cooperated and we had a great experience. Next at La Paz waterfall garden we saw a lot of the animals that call Costa Rica home, they provided an excellent lunch and then we saw 5 amazing waterfalls. Throughout the tour our guide was very helpful and knowledgeable. Excellent tour, I would highly recommend to anyone considering it. Great for families, couples, and individual travelers.
