For this full day tour, we will visit three incredible places that are completely unique to this area. As well as learning more about Costa Rican coffee, we will visit Poás Volcano, one of only seven active volcanoes in the country. We will then see over 100 species including rescued sloths and hummingbirds in the La Paz Waterfall Gardens. This is my favourite trip in the San Jose area, providing you with a great combination of picturesque scenery and the chance to get up close to many species found in Costa Rica.

We will be traveling by the Coffee Land of San Isidro, Through many small coffee plantation in Alajuela, where you will learn more about the history of coffee production in Costa Rica, the process of how coffee is made in this province with a great viewing point to take photos across Alajuela. Poas Volcano
We will travel up to the Poás Volcano, which is one of the seven current active volcanoes in Costa Rica! After we reach the impressive main crater, we will then hike to Botos Lagoon and follow the trails around the volcano to explore nature.

5.00This full day excursion met and far exceeded our expectations! Olman (owner/driver) and Rachel (guide) were warm, welcoming and communicative. Olman navigated the roads like a pro, and Rachel was very knowledgeable about her country and the sites we toured. In addition to the volcano, waterfalls and coffee plantation, we got to visit the rescued animals of the sanctuary near the La Paz waterfalls. Incredible! I highly recommend this duo and this full day excursion.

5.00Olman and Adrian were great guides. Very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. We had great weather and were lucky enough to see a sloth moving (they are usually sleeping) and the poas volcano without clouds. This tour is a great way to do everything you want in this region and very safe and convenient for other solo travelers.

5.00This was the best day of my 10-day trip to Costa Rica. The tour starts with a visit to a coffee plantation, where you learn about the process while walking through the coffee tree fields. However, you don't see any actual machinery or production areas, and no coffee samples were offered, which was disappointing. Poas Volcano was the highlight - an easy 10-min walk takes you to the active crater - an incredible sight; about 15 minutes farther you reach Laguna Botos - a serene crater lake with gorgeous green water. I was debating between this tour and one to Irazu Volcano, but I'm so glad I chose Poas since you get to see both craters. We then visited La Paz Waterfall Gardens, saw lots of wildlife up close, and enjoyed a good all-you-can-eat buffet lunch. The 4 waterfalls were stunning, but be prepared for HUNDREDS of steps up and down! The tour started with pickup at 7:30 am and returned around 6:30 pm. It's a long, busy day, but incredibly worthwhile and highly recommended!

Great introduction to Costa Rican coffee culture, volcanic geography and gorgeous waterfalls in the rain forest, ecological ethos, and opportunity to take a vigorous hike through the rain forest and see native species at the animal rehab facility. Be prepared for a full and active day.

5.00My family absolutely loved our experience with this tour! They were incredibly accommodating, picked us up from our hotel which was so convenient. Our tour guide was fantastic! She was incredibly sweet and informative! We got lucky and were able to see the volcano in parts. Food was buffet style and also good! Overall, loved this trip and would highly recommend!

5.00The guide was really friendly, well informed and organised. The driver was also really friendly and even dropped me off at my hostel even tho it wasnt listed as a dropoff place afterwards. The Coffee plantation was beautiful and learning how coffee comes to be was really interesting. My highlight was the Volcano, especially the main Crater. It was such an impressive view and the walk to the crater was nice aswell. The short Stop at the Fresi Souvenir Shop was a very nice addition, the the wine there tastes amazing. The Animal Sanctuary at the waterfall gardens was also impressive, seeing toucans and hummingbirds just flying around you was a very nice experience. The 4 waterfalls themselves were also gorgeous. It was quite a walk to them with a lot of uphill stairs but the cold breeze from the waterfalls made it feel refreshing still. All in all one of the, if not the best Day that i had in 4 weeks in Costa Rica.

5.00This was a really excellent tour. Raquel, our guide, was very helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. The animal rescue center was fascinating, the coffee plantation was interesting and beautiful, and the volcano hike was pleasant and scenic. A fine day!
Clear sighting of volcano is only in early morning yet we wasted hours at pickups and coffee shop

2.00-Olman and Raquel are very nice and accommodating... -...but if your goal is to see the volcano, this trip is a waste of time. I was surprised that they didn't try to make it to the volcano early. It is a well-known fact that volcanoes get clouded by 10am, and yet we wasted hours on pickups and at a coffee shop. By the time we got to the volcano, it was completely covered in cloud. -They are accommodating but pickups and dropoffs are scattered around including some at different towns so it takes hours on both ends. -The stops we had on the trip are expensive and clearly a way to extract money from the tourists -Lunch was very bad
