Board our vintage Land Rovers and let's head into the back roads of Beaujolais. We'll take you through the best of what Beaujolais has to offer: private medieval castles, wineries, local craftsmen, local producers (honey, cheese, cold cuts, truffles, etc.). Beaujolais has 10 crus (top wines); we can cover most of them in that full day.
Lunch will either be in a local restaurant or on a picnic we'll set up in the vineyards. We focus on what we love, which is usually food, wine, anecdotes, history, architecture, and landscapes.
We'll stop in a vineyard to open a few bottles of wine and taste local cold cuts and cheese with a gorgeous view of the region.
All our rides are private and tailor-made, so we'll happily adjust the above to your centers of interest.
So kick back, relax, and let us drive you to the best secret spots in Beaujolais!
Note that we offer a premium pick-up in Lyon option or alternatively we provide courtesy return train tickets from Lyon, ride duration 35 mins.

5.00Our experience with the reservation to the overall experience on the tour, including all communications was 5 out of 5+ stars! We shared with our insider, Amelie, what we had hoped to see, eat, and experience. As well as informed her of our favorite Beaujolais - Chénas. Amelie used her resources and secured us an exceptional experience at one of the very private vineyards there. The private lunch was very special and TASTY!! The weather, albeit rainy at times, made the fall colors come alive! We LOVE Beaujolais, and would enjoy spending more time taking in all that this region offers!

5.00Amelie was an absolute pleasure to spend the day with. Her wine knowledge was very impressive. She also made the whole day super fun and interesting which kept us engaged and learning the whole time. As we went throughout the day and visited the wineries plus a fun stop at a local cheese farm, it was clear she was very knowledgeable about the area and the community. We loved slowing down in the middle of the day for the picnic lunch. We went to four different wineries during the day - all of them were great and very different so got an excellent variety of wines from the area. The final winery that we were supposed to visit ended up being closed but she was quickly able to pivot and find us another option. This stop ended up being one of the most fun ones of the day as we all got to experience new wines together! 10/10 tour and would do again!

5.00This was one of the most unique experiences I’ve ever had. Amélie was an excellent and super fun guide for the day! We stopped at 4 different wine stops - all giving us unique experiences such as tasting wines out of the tanks with the wine makers to a local wine festival stop for lunch (thanks to lucky timing and Amélie notifing us it was an option for lunch). Icing on the cake was the vintage Land Rover as our means of getting around - took driving through the vines to a whole new level! Pierre was a great and professional driver who got us too and from Beaujolais safely as well! Highly recommend the tour!

5.00We had a fantastic day in the Beaujolais district! Thomas was an outgoing and knowledgeable guide with a good mood. We had a great arrangement with castle visits, visits to vineyards and lots of wine tasting. It was an exciting and exciting day!

5.00I highly rate the Beaujolais Insiders Company and loved our guides! Our guides Thomas and Melanie were fabulous! Thomas knew everything about winemaking as well as all about growing the grapes and the different crus and wineries. He comes from a Beaujolais wine making family! He is a fun, friendly, and knowledgable guide! He is an enthusiastic guide who truly made my whole family enjoy their trip. Thomas communicated well with us through what’s app. He took great photos of us and shared them after the tour ended. He made sure we were happy every hour of our full day tour. Melanie was also a wonderful guide! She also lives in the area and has taken courses about wine making process and being a tour guide. She made a big effort too for us to enjoy our day. We travel quite a bit and always take a trip advisor tours of the areas we visit. This was one of the best tours out family has ever taken! My husband and I have 3 adult children in their 20s and 30s who brought their significant others. They all enjoyed this guided day trip. You should go if you have the opportunity!

Days before the tour, Amélie took the time and efforts to understand my food preferences and helped arrange my train transportation from Lyon. Being a local to the region and a fellow wine enthusiast, Amélie customized my wine tasting experience with in-depth explanation of the terroir and arranged private tasting sessions with local wine makers. Amélie's knowledge on Beaujolais, friendliness, and her connection in the wine industry transformed a simple wine tasting tour into an incredible experience.
Magical and Memorable Beaujolais experience

5.00This was a truly spectacular and intimate experience. We were picked up at our hotel in Lyon by one of the owners of the company and he could not have been more pleasant and informative. We met our guide Emilie who drove us in the vintage Land Rover to three separate small vineyards in the Beaujolais area. She was extremely knowledgeable about the region and passionate about the wines. At each vineyard we did tastings of at least 5 wines and were able to walk the vineyard and met with the winemaker at one as well. I would highly recommend selecting to do the picnic for a small additional fee, where they set up a table and chairs at the top of a mountain in a vineyard. It was absolutely spectacular - Emilie cooked for us on a barbecue and we drank wine and ate cheese and charcuterie that we selected at a local fromagerie in one of the small Cru villages —- the day could not have been more memorable.
