  Firstly our land-rover turned up with too many passengers. We had to squeeze 6 people into the rear 4 person space, which was dangerous & not just uncomfortable, but actually painful. We reached another hotel after 15 mins to collect another passenger. The squashed folks in the rear got out and refused to travel any further due to cramp issues & concerns for safety. The additional passenger sat in the front middle space with the gearstick in between her legs !! It turned out that 2 people had been mistakenly collected, so we agreed to travel for a further 5 mins (after the cramp cleared up) where we met another land-rover and shared passengers & also shed the 2 poor folks who were on the wrong trip. Then our trip then got underway. Fair enough that mistakes can happen & I did feel for our driver who was apologetic. But his bosses (or whoever he was on the phone to), considered it acceptable for us to travel for approx 20 minutes in these ridiculous and dangerous conditions, says something about this company. The tour itself was fine and we saw some nice parts of Cyprus. Our driver was a good host. The coffee stop and lunch stop being the highlights. After a poor start then an OK day followed ... not sure I'd recommend.

  A real nice way to something from the island! Our driver was knowledgeable and fun. The offroad parts were very nice as well. I enjoyed the whole day and most of the stops. For me only downside was that it felt pretty rushed. Especially in the gorge we almost had to run, while it is a place where you want to stop for few minutes and be amazed. Maybe take out a stop (my sugestion: Afrodrites bath as that is really underwhelming) so that you have a little more time in the gorge.

  I’ll be honest before we did this I was a bit worried about what we’d signed up for. We are in our 60’s and had read the reviews and information about bad backs but it was great fun. Yannis was a superb guide - obviously loves his country which was so lovely. He showed us some beautiful places and took us on some hair raising off road tracks. I won’t forget the journey to the Blue Lagoon in a hurry but it was worth it.

  Fundamentally a great tour hugely let down by the condition of the vehicle and the driver. The Landrover Defender is a great vehicle but this one had seatbelts that did not work, no screen wash (the driver throwing water over the screen as we drove) and suffered brake failure needing a change of vehicle! That didn’t stop the driver boasting about it and at one point stopping ing on a moderate incline and telling us that he was braking even as the vehicle rolled backwards. We drove for around half an hour on twisty low mountain roads and off road for a short distance with no brakes. Before that on a lengthy off road section the driver enjoyed showing off. This included racing to get ahead of other Landrovers who were ahead of us. He took a number of high speed risks whilst walkers were on the roads. The visit included the Blue Lagoon except we never got there. There was no explanation. We did swap vehicles at the Baths of Adonis and whilst the brakes worked the seat belts didn’t! Such a shame as it is fundamentally a great day out with the exception of the baths of Adonis which are totally unspectacular and tacky featuring a number of poorly executed statues of the gods to line the path!!
