Enjoy a full-day, shared tour and visit the town of San Antonio de Areco , which is one of the most traditional in the Pampas. You will get to know the history and development of the Argentinian pampas and the lifestyle of the Gauchos.
Choose between our Original Day at Farm option, where you will visit the Estancia El Ombu, the most popular ranch in town, or the Classic option, in which you will visit an alternative family-owned ranch. Both are located in San Antonio de Areco for more than 50 years, a small and countryside village around a 1-hour drive from the city.

No gaucho horsemanship and no explanation. This is the only reason we booked this trip!

5.00Wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Pick up in front of hotel on time and received confirmation the night before as planned. Return back to hotel. Great time outside of the city. Overall amazing!

5.00Excellent tour, worth every penny. Food was delicious and abundant, musicians and dancers made everyone participate. The best part “el susurro del gaucho”. Seeing the connection between horse and gaucho was a great experience. Highly recommended.

3.00Entertaining but rushed day out of Buenos Aires. If we didn't have an extra day to spare, I would have been disappointed as a lot of time was spent in the bus, especially as we were picked up first so it was an hour before we left the city after picking up others at their hotels. Good guide and driver and nice scenery. Some interesting things along the way. Horse ride was very short but horses generally well behaved. Food was delicious and dancing was fun.
Wouldn’t do again!

3.00Over 2 hours to get to experience short walk around local town which was nice. Ranch was nice and welcoming but disappointed in the 15 min horse ride around a field, experienced riders would be very disappointed. Barbecue was fine and local dancing was nice but no Guacho show!! Which was what I expected 🙁. Over 3 hours to get back due to traffic.

5.00This tour was well worth it! The food was delicious (and a bit adventurous), the dancing was interactive, and the horseback riding was the highlight of our trip. I was pleasantly surprised when our guide Sabrina taught us many things on the ride to the ranch, including the cultural importance of mate! She was also happy to not only answer questions, but quick to find out answers from the gauchos if she didn't know the answer. Don't miss this experience during your Argentina travels!

5.00We had an amazing day visiting the ranch. Our tour guide Aimee was very knowledgeable and gave us much information along the way. The empanadas and the asado were both delicious at the ranch. The gauchos took great care of us while riding the horses. The dances and music were fun and entertaining. The staff went above and beyond with the service they provided. Overall a wonderful experience. Don’t miss it!
