As the first of its kind in the Southern hemisphere, MOUA will act to highlight reef conservation, restoration, and education on a global scale. The site located on John Brewer Reef is rich in history, with a strong connection to our indigenous culture and marine tourism.
The Coral Greenhouse – first submerged building design by world-class artist Jason deCaires Taylor is is a bucket list trip no one should miss! The greenhouse, which many people think of as glass walls filled with fruit or flowers instead boasts a beautiful mix of art and science. Trees, life-like sculptures, and coral gardens make this staggering 72m structure a wonderland for divers.
With plenty of reef nearby to explore and depths ranging from 1 to 20 metres, it is ideal for snorkelers, beginner and experienced divers. On the reef, schools of bait fish are common as well as an abundance of colourful reef fish. Turtles, Stingrays, White and Black tip reef sharks are often sighted.

This was such a fun trip even for someone who did not learn to dive in time. Snorkeling was top notch, guides were super helpful and knowledgeable about the reef and most importantly seemed to really care about its preservation and educating us about it! Lots of snacks as a huge bonus :)

Loved my trip with Adrenalin Dive out to the John Brewer Reef and the Museum of Underwater Art. Cruisey boat ride out, then two fantastic dives - shoutout to Brendan for guiding us - crystal clear instruction and made sure we made the most of both dives. The museum is stunning and the section of reef we were on gorgeous. Great crew and great buffet-make-your-own style lunch. All round perfect day

Loved my day. I dove with Adrenaline before, many years back so it was good to see the business is still going strong and offers excellent service. The guides were welcoming, very knowledgeable and fun. While we had some currents they made sure we were all safe and comfortable. Visibility was amazing. Reef looked good. Plate and branching corals. Lots of fish including some bigger things like reef sharks and barracuda. Museum is worth a visit. Some pretty soft corals grow there now. Lots of sea fans of different species. Good, comfortable boat. Good gear. All in all I would definitely highly recommend these company and will come back to dive with them again.

Went out on the great barrier reef. The reef was good. The food option was limited to some cut up chicken (from a supermarket) and basic salads with white bread. We were told to take only one sandwich. I didn't expect something this basic after being on boats that cater a BBQ lunch, or trays of salads, and warm meats and rolls, with plenty to go around. I felt like the boat was crowded, even though it wasn't full. One toilet for everyone on board. Very hard to squeeze in and prep gear when everyone is doing the same. I booked a guided tour (first time on the GBR) and the tour had 8 people on it. Only managed a 35 min dive time as two of the people on the dive hadn't listened to instructions and didn't sort out buoyancy. I felt the guide ratio was too high and this detracted from my experience (at least 10 mins of the dive was spent waiting for others and then dive time was limited due to others consumption and the guide needing to find others who has moved off during the wait time)

The John Brewer Reef Scuba Dive & Snorkel was an unforgettable experience. Crew on board were amazing & were all happy to share their vast knowledge of the Marine environment on the Reef. We even caught Humpack Whales breeching on the way there!

Very basic boat with hard seating that makes for an uncomfortable 4 hour return trip, one toilet, very limited lunch catering with multiple guests requesting more than one sandwich. Clear focus on divers not snorkellers. Worthy of note there is an additional cost for a snorkel guide - a standard inclusion on other boats. Great crew but there are more comfortable and better value options.

The cruise was great. Staff very friendly a lot of information was given a great simple lunch .I did the discovery scuba and felt safe all the time. My instructor was very attentive and clear. Every thing was explained more than once. At no time did I feel anxious. I recommend them . My husband did the snorkelling and enjoyed it very much

A great day out and well organised for diving. Brewers Reef was our bucket list. Had a snorkel dive while scuba divers did their thing. Everything provided food was simple but plenty crew were at your service the whole time. It is a dive boat folks. Basic comforts. I enjoyed it but i dont mind a bit of bouncing about in a boat!..Full of marine biology nerds who inform and teach. I came home with some new info and a happy heart from playing in the ocean!

At first glance the boat we took was too small for us. Once we were all present and correct with our gear, we boarded. With close to 40 people on board seemed a bit tight. However a 2 1/2 hour boat ride to John Brewer reef was a bit rough, then once the scuba divers got going ,the snorkellers had a 10 minute, if that briefing on how to breath with the snorkel then once we put the stinger suit on etc we were let free, unattended. We were sent out to swim the reef beside the boat. It was good although the reef had very little colour, the fish had lovely colour to them. When lunch was served it was make your own sandwich with your choice of grain or white bread, butter, Vegemite, Peanut butter, cold cuts, roast chicken with stuffing, cheese, beetroot etc. It was ok. They had biscuits as well. After sitting on a boat for 5 hours there and back (boat needed a lot of TLC), snorkelling that felt like we were there just to fill numbers as the scuba divers seemed to get preference and the rough conditions made it unbearable at times. We found the money spent was not worth it. On top of everything, you only find out after you book the tour and its finally confirmed the afternoon before that there is no parking available for the public at the Marina they use unless you park on the Strand and walk about 15 minutes back to the Marina. All in all was $384 each worth it. No!
