The Kelpies & The Helix
I will give you a full guided tour on the kelpies, from very humble beginnings to everything in which they symbolise here in Scotland. At the Kelpies, there are plenty of great photo opportunities as well as public toilets, cafes and a gift shop.
Stirling Castle
I will arrange tickets on your behalf for the full guided tour of Stirling Castle if you let me know that this is what you want to do. If you do not wish to purchase the interior tour tickets, I can give you a full exterior tour and add something else on to your itinerary for you to visit. Stirling Castle is the most historic castle in Scotland, which sits on top of a huge volcanic plug. Stirling Castle was crucial during the wars of independence and sits at the most strategic position in Scotland. This Castle is truly spectacular.

5.00If you want a guide who tells you about the real Scotland, not just the standard history and highlights, Andy is your guy. He shared tons of personal stories from growing up in Glasgow that painted a much clearer picture than any generic guidebook info would. Thanks for a great day, Andy!

5.00Andy was amazing, the tour was wonderful. We were a small group so he was able to tailor the stops to our needs. He was willing and able to take pictures at every stop. We had an amazing time and will definitely hire him again the next time we visit!

5.00This tour was so much more than what we expected. Not just a "famous landmark" cookie cutter itinerary. Andy asked us what our "must see" places we wanted to go and we discussed those but we also wanted to see places HE thought we would enjoy. It was like taking a tour with a friend your were visiting in their home town and they show you the popular places and the hidden gems. He let us gage the amount of time we wanted to stay in each place but letting us know if too much time spent it could intrude on other sites. It was the best tour we have ever had. Seeing popular places such as The Kelpies, Doune Castle and Loch Ness but also a hidden gem village with river rapids and cute shops. Highly recommend taking this tour with our new friend Andy!

5.00We had to great fortune to find and contact Andy from Caley Pines Tours several months before our trip and he was amazing to work with! Reasonably priced for our family of five, and put together an itinerary that allowed us to see so much in our one day in port (even found some gorgeous hills for our youngest "to go roll down"!). From the landmarks (Kelpies and castles, etc) to the most excellent lunch stop (historic and beautiful Drovers Inn - have the haggis and a local pint!), to the gorgeous landscape of this area of Scotland (waterfalls, The Trossachs and Loch Lomond), we had a perfect day - even got to pet a Highland Coo! Andy met us at the cruise port with snacks and waters, answered all our questions while explaining the sights as we went, gave suggestions at our lunch stop, and introduced us to a local band that we immediately added into Spotify. 😉 As a family this tour was a highlight of our British Isles trip and it was thanks to Andy sharing his love of his home with us. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and Caley Pines Tours and hope to make a return trip sometime soon to see even more!
This was the best day ever experiencing Scotland from a native of the land! Andy was so delightful!

5.00We were in the best of company when taking a wonderful tour with Andy Kidd & Caley Pines Tours. We visited the famous Kelpies, Sterling Castle, Doune Castle from Blood of my Blood, pet the adorable Highland Coos among many other sights, then ended our phenomenal day with a delicious meal at Drovers‘s Inn, the most haunted in Scotland! We definitely want to come back so we can take additional tours with Andy! He is a lively and friendly fellow with the most adorable Scottish accent ever! Who wouldn’t want to come back
Best excursion of our entire Baltic trip!
