Imagine walking in the footsteps of Jamie and Claire from the hit series Outlander on this small-group tour, with a local guide regaling all the gruesome history and stories that made this an epic hit. We take you on a journey to some of the most famous scenes from the hit series such as Midhope Castle the real-life Lallybroch, and Doune Castle, the seat of Clan MacKenzie. Your guide will give you an insight into the history and stories of each location, making this the perfect trip for those looking for a quick Outlander fix.

A maximum of 10 people per booking
Children under 5 years old, including infants who do not require a seat, are not permitted to travel. We are unable to accommodate any child under the age of 5. Anyone under 17 must be accompanied by an adult. There are no maximum age restrictions.
It is recommended to book transport to the departure point in advance. Please also allow extra time to get to the departure point for check-in. We advise you arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour departure to allow time to check-in for the tour. Unfortunately, we are unable to hold the bus or refund for any late arrivals.
There are days when Doune Castle may be closed for filming or other reasons. We will then visit Linlithgow Palace in its place. Linlithgow Palace, the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots and a filming location for Outlander, requires a local entry fee.
Return times are approximate and subject to road conditions and weather. Please ensure you allocate sufficient time for any onward travel plans, allowing at least 3 hours after the scheduled return time for connections or activities.
Due to vehicle availability, there may be instances where this tour runs on a bigger bus.

The order of the itinerary route is subject to change.

We make our first stop at Midhope Castle, aka Lallybroch - home to Jamie Fraser.
Doune Castle
We then visit Doune Castle, one of Scotland’s best preserved medieval castles and used as the setting for Castle Leoch in Outlander. You’ll have time to explore this historic stronghold.

Tour not adapted to non-English speakers. Nice places but the audio guide in Spanish leaves to be desired

3.00The tour was advertised as very good for Spanish speakers as well, but it is not. They do give you access to an audio guide in Spanish, but it doesn't tell anything about outlander, and it was a disappointment. On the side of the guide you can see that it does very well and enjoyable, but it is not what we expected as it did not indicate when to listen to each audio of the audio guide. Apart from that, the sites we went to were beautiful and the guide cpmented a lot about the outlander scenes but it is a shame that the audios did not comment anything about the series, only about the history of the places. The tour is very good but for English speakers.

5.00We really loved our day trip with our tour guide, Dusty. Everything was very well organised and communicated. We loved the stories about different filming locations from him. The atmosphere was really good. I have to mention the playlist of music that we could listen to while driving, I loved it.

5.00Booked this trip with a friend who loves Outlander. I’ve only seen a few episodes, but even if you’ve seen 0 this is an amazing trip!! Our tour guide and driver Dusty was the best. He gave such a well rounded background to all of our stops, and his historical knowledge was extremely impressive. We spent the perfect amount of time at each stop, I picked this tour because it had more stops than other Outlander day tours and it was the perfect pick. Thank you Rusty for your great stories, jokes, and impressive driving!!!

5.00The tour with Dusty was wonderfully informative and fun. It was nice to see a lot of Outlander locations and hear stories about them. Dusty brought a lot of historical knowledge, which I really loved. The great playlist must not go unmentioned!

5.00If your an outlander fan this tour satisfies all your location needs , the locations are all in beautiful settings , you get a wonderful commentary about history integrated with the outlander series , Connor was very entertaining and informative, obviously passionate about Scottish history

5.00We were guided by a wonderful guide/extremely skillful driver/history expert, Connor, who took us on a tour through time and space with a beautiful selection of traditional music on the bus. Visiting Midhope Castle early in the morning was really good to avoid most of the day visitors. May we suggest less time in Doune Castle and more time in Culross. 4.00Great day visiting some Outlander sights. Our guide Wendi was so knowledgeable about the sites from the Outlander and real history perspective. She talked a lot during the drive and then once we arrive to the sites we were left to explore on our own. I feel like each stop had adequate time to see everything and never felt rushed. Even for our lunch break we had plenty of time to sit down and eat and see the town. It is a very long day!
