Imagine walking in the footsteps of Jamie and Claire from the hit series Outlander on this small-group tour, with a local guide regaling all the gruesome history and stories that made this an epic hit. We take you on a journey to some of the most famous scenes from the hit series such as Midhope Castle the real-life Lallybroch, and Doune Castle, the seat of Clan MacKenzie. Your guide will give you an insight into the history and stories of each location, making this the perfect trip for those looking for a quick Outlander fix.

A maximum of 10 people per booking
Children under 5 years old, including infants who do not require a seat, are not permitted to travel. We are unable to accommodate any child under the age of 5. Anyone under 17 must be accompanied by an adult. There are no maximum age restrictions.
It is recommended to book transport to the departure point in advance. Please also allow extra time to get to the departure point for check-in. We advise you arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour departure to allow time to check-in for the tour. Unfortunately, we are unable to hold the bus or refund for any late arrivals.
There are days when Doune Castle may be closed for filming or other reasons. We will then visit Linlithgow Palace in its place. Linlithgow Palace, the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots and a filming location for Outlander, requires a local entry fee.
Return times are approximate and subject to road conditions and weather. Please ensure you allocate sufficient time for any onward travel plans, allowing at least 3 hours after the scheduled return time for connections or activities.
Due to vehicle availability, there may be instances where this tour runs on a bigger bus.

We make our first stop at Midhope Castle, aka Lallybroch - home to Jamie Fraser.
Doune Castle
We then visit Doune Castle, one of Scotland’s best preserved medieval castles and used as the setting for Castle Leoch in Outlander. You’ll have time to explore this historic stronghold.

5.00Cliff was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide with lots of fun tidbits to share about the filming of the shows and behind the scenes facts. We even got to visit a secret location related to Blood of my Blood that had just stopped being used for filming a week ago! Lots of the stops also had Outlander related merchandise which was really convenient for fans

5.00Very interesting commentaries by Wendi on this tour and learned so much about Scottish history. Overall a lovely tour out and into various filming locations. Highly recommend especially if you’re an Outlander fan.

5.00Amazing experience!! Only downside is we could not visit midhope castle ( lallybroch) cause it was closed. But it is worth doing this tour, an amazing experience for Outlander’s fans! Our guide (Graemes, sorry if I misspelled your name) did a very good job explaining Scotland story, scenes from Outlander and much more! Thank you for the amazing adventure!!

5.00A day full of film locations, fun facts and fabulous history. Graeme, our guide for the day, knew his stuff. We had pit stops along the way for food, photo ops, coffee and discovering villages.

5.00The tour was simply perfect and without a doubt the best experience I could have had! Our guide, Torva, was exceptional from start to finish. He took us to several Outlander filming locations, explaining every detail with great knowledge and passion. On top of that, he shared many fascinating stories about the series, including behind-the-scenes facts that made the experience even more special. You can truly see how much he loves what he does, and that makes all the difference. The experience was emotional, engaging, and unforgettable. I would highly recommend it! If you’re an Outlander fan (or even if you’re not), this tour with Torva is an absolute must.

4.00We had a very good day visiting the different places, even my spouse who did not see the series enjoyed it very much, favorite for Blackness castel! Our guide Ry was very nice and gave us regular anecdotes about Scotland or the series during the journey, it was great, only be careful you have to understand English. Regarding the audio guide in French on the other hand it was not very well developed and it is a shame, in several places we would have liked to have the explanations in French and we had nothing, that was the small negative.
A beautiful day in Scottish history.

5.00I am a fan of the series and I loved the tour! We traveled in family, with children, and everyone had fun. The places are too beautiful and the support we received was amazing! Highlight the work of Ry, who led us, gave many tips, explained historical details of Scotland and the places visited and even helped us with family photos! I highly recommend!
