What to expect:

Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera helped to define Mexican modernism while engaged in a tumultuous romance. On this 2-hour tour we’ll get a glimpse into the life of Mexican artists.

Our visit will take us to the Diego Rivera Museum, his former abode and where many of his works were created. We will get a sense of how he once lived and worked. We’ll engage directly with his history as we surround ourselves by his artwork, clothing, photos.

We’ll pop to the streets of Guanajuato, talk about the Rivera and Kahlo’s life in different ways. Stepping in the former abode, we will learn more about the unique Diego and Frida life.

I recommend a detour to this colorful village. The atmosphere is perfect, it is hectic and clamouring at the same time. There's plenty to eat on every corner. The more you look away, the better the view. Passage through the Diego rivera museum mandatory. Super interesting and we find the letters of Frida Kahlo.

Guided tour was very nice, the lady did a great job. However it was definitely not what we ordered due to totally misleading information from TripAdvisor. Besides that, price performance ratio of TripAdvisor is far beyond any reasonable limit. Shame on you TripAdvisor!!!

I loved learning more about Sr. Rivera’s fascinating life. He was such a talented trailblazer. Wow…the influences of his painter friends and the breadth of his talent. I also enjoyed speaking with our guide, Karla. She was very knowledgeable and I loved learning about her love of art. She made the tour most enjoyable.

Karla was a great guide, with an impressive level of English and great perspective, given she is a Fine Arts student at the local university! I think the name of this tour is a bit misleading; there isn’t really much about Frida Kahlo. Rivera, however, gets much attention in his childhood home (the museum). We also walked through a couple churches and learned more about the University of Guanajuato. Very good tour.

We LOVED our guide Anastasiya. She was so nice and super knowledgeable about every question I asked. The tour was also very informative and the museum was amazing!
You get more than you have paid for.

Along with visiting the museum, our guide showed us two nearby churches showing the difference between the rich and poor churches. As we were walking to the museum our guide showed us many historical buildings and features along the way. During the museum tour, our guide had books to show us additional elements to Diego's life which added to the experience. It's worth paying for the tour than just going to the museum. You will miss out on the nuances of Diego and his life if you just go to the museum on your own.
