  We had a wonderful time with Susana. She showed us so many cool places hidden from the tourist eye, and told us many interesting stories. Highly recommend her. Very knowledgeable and passionate about what she is doing. Thank you!

  It was a great way to start my trip since I have never been here. Landmarks buiIt my confidence. Abraham was my guide. He was very kind and spoke slowly, as he knew I wanted to practice my Spanish skills. He didn't get impatient with my efforts and I felt comfortable trying. I could tell the love he has for the history of Guanajuato and really fancies art and museums. He checked with me regularly to see if we were at a good pace and if I felt well. I learned, I laughed, I took notes. If I return, I hope to see him again.

  The walking tour for our group of 10 in Gto was terrific. Guide Susana was very knowledgeable with a curious and open mind and engaged us in order to make the tour meaningful for us by relating aspects of local history to broader themes, art, literature, and culture. She was friendly and adaptable to our interests and available time. She learned all our names and remembered items of interest to each of us and wove them back in as we saw new things. We learned a lot more about Gto than we had just exploring on our own. Very highly recommended.

  I had the pleasure of joining a walking tour in Guanajuato, and it turned out to be one of the most enriching experiences of my visit. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, with a deep understanding of the city’s layered history and striking architecture. His passion for Guanajuato was palpable—every explanation was delivered with enthusiasm and pride, making the stories behind the buildings and alleyways come alive What made this tour truly special was the guide’s ability to lead us through the nooks and crannies of the city—places I would never have found on my own. He pointed out subtle architectural details and historical landmarks that revealed the soul of Guanajuato, connecting each stop to the broader narrative of the town’s past One practical note: Guanajuato is a city of steps—lots of them. The terrain includes frequent uphill and downhill paths, so those with mobility concerns might find the tour a bit challenging That said, I highly recommend this tour to anyone eager to explore Guanajuato beyond the surface.   The tour, which Susana, our guide, must have done a thousand times, seemed so personalized for us and so fresh. As we walked, she was warmly welcomed by so many. She quickly figured out our interests and personalized the tour. A great overview of the town, its history -including the part her family members played in it. It was truly helpful to us in the subsequent days as we explored the town in more depth. Susana sent us more recommendations via email after the tour, many of which we utilized. A fabulous restaurant owned by her brother and sister-in-law where we met another one of Susana's clients from the day before us. We were welcomed like family, met another wonderful couple and feasted the night away in pleasant conversation. Her breakfast suggestion was 5 star - an 18 year old who just opened an amazing restaurant, Platto, where we met his mother and older brother who were working. We rode the funincular, visited the Diego Rivera Museum, the Hacienda San Gabriel, the Alhondiga de Granaditas, the Presa de la Olla neighborhood, and bought a wonderful necklace from a recommended silver shop. I am in conversation with a recommended silver maker about a tin Christmas tree. Sadly, the theater was closed for maintenance, but it must be visited another time when we return. I also left my cell phone in san Uber and a kind passenger after me found it and it was returned...truly good karma. It is a wonderful city, highly recommended...and such friendly people. And you will love Susana.

  Susana was a great tour guide. She was attentive, took many breaks to allow for viewing, pictures & questions. She took me to many different sites, and she was knowledgeable about the significance of each one. Susana was helpful to personalize my tour. I as looking for specific souvenirs. She took me to some local vendors. I couldn't ask for a better tour guide. She has great knowledge of her home City and speaks English fluently. She was flexible with the route, how much time we took, and we had great snacks along the way. She knows alot of the local business people, restaurants & historic site information. I had a problem with the return trip on the bus, and Susana was helpful to translate for me. She made suggestions to help me get home safely. Thanks Susana! Please don't hesitate to have a tour in Guanajuato with her and her Tour Company, Cacomixtle.

  Antonio shows us around the city centre and we took in a huge amount in just two hours. He has so much historical and personal knowledge of the city it was a real pleasure to hear all the little details you would normally miss. Definitely recommended, especially if you’re short on time in Guanajuato 👍
