Enjoy a close, personal encounter with the West Indian Manatee as you snorkel with them under the guidance of a U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain. Our small group (no more than six guests) tours are conducted daily in the beautiful Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge. Get up close and personal with these amazing mammals and learn about the ecosystem and their habitat.

Unlike many tours, these Captains will actually swim with you and your group to ensure that you have a memorable experience. While in the water, your captain/tour guide will take high-definition photos and videos of you and your group which you will be able to view and purchase at the end of your trip.

Your price includes all snorkeling equipment (mask, snorkel, wetsuit) and complimentary coffee or hot cocoa.

Upon arrival at the dive shop, guests will be fitted for wetsuits (included in price) and asked to watch a brief video from US Fish and Wildlife outlining their encounter with the manatees. The captain and guide will then take the group to the boat and embark all passengers and give a short safety brief. Once underway, the guide will further explain how to interact with the manatees once in the water and fit the guests with their masks and snorkels. While transiting to the swim areas, the captain and guide will present information about the area wildlife and what guests can expect to see during your tour. They will also answer questions and take pictures along the way. Once the vessel sights manatees, the captain will anchor the vessel and the group and guide will proceed into the water for your encounter. The guide will stay with the group the entire time, ensuring that the guests get the most out of their experience, all while taking photos and videos of your adventure!

The customer service was exceptional starting with the phone call to help us with directions, parkas after swimming and hot cocoa on the boat ride back. The small group size made for a personalized tour. Captain Mike was knowledgable and friendly. Krystle made sure we got great photos and up close experiences with the manatees. It was everyone in our party’s favorite part of our vacation with participants which ranged from 10 years old to 71 years old. We highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in an amazing personalized manatee experience. We will be back for sure!

I was traveling solo, and Captain Ron and guide Celeste made me feel super comfortable. There was a nice dressing room area with a bathroom to get ready before the trip, and it was just a short ride in a van to the dock. Captain Ron has been doing this for over a decade, and despite being a warm day, he used his drone and expertise and was able get me close to multiple manatees. Most times we were the only ones in the water! Other groups were initially near us close to the springs, and other captains had a respect for Ron you could tell. Celeste was bubbly and had a super appreciation for the wildlife. The photos that they took could not compare to the ones I did, and the package was reasonably priced to my surprise. I would highly recommend this tour, and thanks to both of them for a wonderful three hours.

This was an amazing experience! Our guides Casey and Mike were super friendly and helpful! We took this trip with our kids (6, 8, and 10) and they were champs. I would highly recommend this tour for families.

This was an amazing experience. The guides were very friendly and they did everything they could to ensure a great trip. It was more like spending an afternoon with friends than a touristy boat ride. You could also really tell the care and respect they have for the animals and the environment. It was lovely, and I highly recommend. Thanks for a wonderful experience!🥹

Captain Mike and Celeste were awesome! Worked hard for us to find manatees at the beginning of the season. Very peaceful and leisurely boat ride with just us two adults and our two small children. Captain Mike shared his lunch with our kids. We totally forgot to bring snacks.

A very unique, special and heart touching experience, I absolutely loved it. We saw many manatees and I I got great photos out of the trip. The crew (Crystal, Celeste, Ron and Mike) did a great job in taking me on that tour, cared for me and gifted me this special and forever memory. And this despite I was the only customer that day and time!

Captain Ron was very knowledgeable and fun! He taught us a lot about the Manatees and the area. He took us to a couple of places so we were able to see/swim with 4 Manatees and see a few more. The photographer Mirana was great as well. She captured some great shots and helped us locate them in the water. At the end of our tour we spotted a few dolphins fishing. Captain Ron took a few extra minutes and allowed us to watch them, an awesome bonus to our day! I would definitely recommend!

Captain Ron was fantastic!! My husband and I did the tour with 4 of our kids, ages 12, 12, 10 and 4. They all had such an amazing experience. We drove 8 hours round trip to do this tour and it was WELL WORTH IT. Thank you so much. We’ll be back!!

Captain Ross was very friendly and knowledgeable. His team was well trained and put us at ease. We had a great experience and saw multiple manatees and even some dolphins! The photographer captured our memories with great pictures that we will treasure. Definitely recommend!
