Join slow adventure tour specialists Sea Kayak Torbay for a discovery of the English Riviera Unesco Global Geopark, Visit multiple coves, caves, observe seals swimming or sunbathing and perhaps meet our pod of bottle nosed dolphins. Stop on a remote beach for a wild swim, have a beach fire and toast marshmallows! Feel free to bring a picnic and your bathers!
We regularly deliver tours to young families and can take children as young as 4, but every child needs to be with an adult
Our comfy seats with firm back rests can assist all ages of beginner kayakers to access the water and see our stunning and dramatic coastline. Tours are delivered in very stable tandem touring kayaks and training is provided before the tour. These experiences are a great way to bond with your partner or child.

Guided Wildlife, Bushcraft and Sea Cave Kayak Safari Enjoy a morning exploring the English Riviera Unesco Global Geopark, where you will paddle through stunning caves and around dramatic rock formations and into remote coves. You will stop on a secluded beach to hunt for fossils, taste a wild foraged marine herb and have a beach fire where you will get to toast marshmallows! Our active seal populations and resident cetaceans move around South Devon and can be observed on many of our tours. Our seals fish and bask in the sun at their favourite haul outs that we pass and observe them from our boats. Bring snacks and water with you, and in the summer months, we recommend you wear shorts and a sports top. In the autumn and spring bring active walking clothes or waterproof trousers if you have them on colder days. Conditions can change, but we outfit you with any technical clothing that you may require.

5.00We did a kayak tour with Kieran today- considering it was November we had amazing weather lovely calm sea and blue sky’s. He was very informative and friendly- we got to see sea birds and seals and stopped on a beach to look for fossils and toast marshmallows! Kieran had lots of knowledge on local history and geology- a great morning! A great activity all year round.

5.00Great family adventure. Our guide, Kieran, shared lots of interesting facts about local geology and wildlife, but the highlights for us were kayaking through the caves and trying foraged seaweed and samphire. Really memorable experience and a holiday highlight.

5.00An excellent tour, informative and enjoyable. Great equipment and plenty of specialist clothing supplied. Kieran is as enthusiastic as he is knowledgeable about the coastal area. Respectful of the environment and local ecology, we saw seals without encroaching and they then followed us out from the beach. Very relaxed tour with all abilities being catered for and getting the most from their time exploring the coastline. Highly recommended and will be booking again.

5.00We had a lovely afternoon with Kieran. Just the three of us and perfect conditions. We really enjoyed learning about the geology (and I’m a geologist!), and the wildlife, and seeing the coast from the sea. We’ve done some paddling over the years but not for a while and it felt like far enough to feel as though we’d done some, but not too far for our rusty muscles!
