5.00Such an experience! Been on multiple ghost tours all around the UK and this is up there as one of the best. No jump scares or silly props and costumes - the guide was passionate and knowledgeable about Ilfracombe and its history, and more than happy to stay and chat long after the tour had ended. He was informative, enthusiastic and very kind, putting up with all my questions. The tour itself is a sensible 90 minutes or so, from one of the pubs to the harbour. There is a lot of standing around so please wear comfortable shoes. But the stories were captivating! Our guide handled the rowdy drunk locals like a pro, too, even in the middle of a full on fist fight in the street - so I'd like to personally thank the guide for being so calm and professional and making us feel safe. And also for answering all my questions! We ended the tour on the end of the harbour at sunset and it was just perfect. Highly recommend if you're in Ilfracombe and love ghost stories and history!

5.00We really enjoyed this ghost tour. No jump scares or props, just a really interesting glimpse into the history and ghost stories of the area. The guide was engaging and knowledgeable and held everyone captivated with stories that were backed with historical facts. We will be back to join another tour.

5.00Stayed in a hotel overlooking the theatre, so just a flat short walk to the harbour, plenty of seating inside and outside and around the harbour, lots of daily boat trips available but book at least 4 days in advance as they sell out fast when the weather is good. The only downside for me personally is the car park at the harbour, it's chaotic and you need eyes in the back of your head.

4.00Mark was a great guide - knowledgeable and engaging. The whole tour lasts about 1 hour 40 and for me, it was the history of the local area that was more interesting than the ghosts…. But it’s a great way to package history, and to keep the kids entertained.

5.00My partner and I attended one of the ghost tours while we were on holiday in Devon last week, and we had a fantastic time. The tour guide was friendly, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Ilfracombe. He offered reasonable and well thought out explanations for why he believed certain buildings and locations were haunted, and he even introduced us to a few of the local spirits! It’s clear he’s passionate about what he does and is still actively investigating the area to keep the tour fresh and informative. I’m already looking forward to coming back in a year or two to see what new discoveries have been made!
