What To Expect
Harder Kulm
The trip is unguided, you may just board the funicular. You find the location/GPS of the departure station on Google and on the Jungfrau Railways website. The great journey starts not far from Interlaken Ost station and leads through a charming forest and through a wildlife park. If Interlaken had a king, he would reside on the Harder Kulm. From the viewing platform at 1,322 metres above sea level, you will graciously look down upon Lake Brienz and Lake Thun, or admire the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. Visit the “Two-Lakes-Bridge” and an airy viewing platform with a glass area in its floor. Restaurant can't be missed as looks like a small castle and is open also during evening time. In order to visit it, however, you don't need to be a king – just take a seat in the funicular and ascend Interlaken's own mountain!

4.00The view from the top was super cool. We also ate dinner there which was a nice experience. We had purchased tickets ahead of time but still had to wait about an hour for our turn to get to the top. I would still recommend it, just know that on a summer day you might have to wait a bit.

2.00I was hoping buying these tickets ahead of time and paying an extra $6 would allow us to move to the front of the line to board the cogwheel train. But this was not the case. It’s not worth buying the tickets ahead of time because you can purchase them the day of from their automated machine for $44/per person as opposed to paying $50/per person through this viator tour. You still have to wait in the long line even if you buy them ahead of time. Also, the tour operators are not proactive about providing a meeting point. You have to call them or email them to get the address. The views are definitely great up top and the restaurant was good.

5.00Beautiful views of the lakes .. it is worth every penny . It was raining and wasn’t sure how the view would be but luckily it did stop raining and we could enjoy the beautiful views .
A must “to do”in Interlaken!

5.00It was so much fun and views were breathtaking! We ate at the restaurant and the food was amazing and so was our waitress! 10/10! PS, they also had a band with local ties to Swiss Culture - cherry on top of the whole excursion!

5.00It's a great viewpoint to see both lakes as well as the Alps. However, you can also get the tickets directly from the counter during off season.
