Tour times vary by season. Available tour times reflected during checkout. Please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your tour. Check in at Salem Historical Tours Office at 8 Central Street, Salem, MA.
Traffic and parking can be very difficult and October is much worse with "LA Level" traffic. Give yourself extra time to get here and park no matter what your GPS is telling you. Check our website for details on where to park and options to get here..
Our public walking tours can pose challenges for participants with mobility and accessibility concerns. Tours are 90 minutes long and about one mile in length. Each participant must be able to complete the one-mile tour within 90 minutes, providing for frequent stops to view sites and for information from the tour guide. As Salem is a historical city, there are narrow and uneven sidewalks, bricks, cobblestones, and stairs. During events and festivals (and particularly October), with crowds and street vendors, the streets can become difficult to navigate.

With the light from the lantern, make your way through Salem's streets. Through your guide's storytelling, dark humor, and captivating tales, learn about the paranormal activity in this infamous town. You will visit as many of these locations as time allows, hearing stories of Visit documented hauntings, accidental death and murder.
Ropes Mansion and Garden
Enter the backyard of the Ropes Mansion that is replete with paranormal activity and includes stories of several people who died in the house. There have been many sightings in the colonial revival garden so take many pictures and maybe you catch an anomaly.

5.00Our tour guide was Bob and he was very funny! He knew a lot about Salem and its ghost history and he threw in anecdotes about his own ghostly experiences. He was a great story teller and added sound and light effects during the tour. He had several pictures to show us from previous ghost tours and encouraged us to take our own.

5.00My wife and I attended the ghost walk and it was wonderful! Our tour guide was great. She told excellent stories and really engaged with us. The atmosphere was very welcoming and we got to see some great sites. She recommended some great places to check out afterwards for food and for drinks. We had a great experience.

5.00A fun and interesting afternoon/night. The guide took us through areas and houses of Salem telling us about their ghost stories. I recommend taking the tour when it is already dark, as it makes the atmosphere of the tour.

3.00With Salem’s rich history and all of the exciting stories there must be to tell, our guide seemed to focus on 2 or 3 historical figures and just kept repeating basically the same stories. I have been on ghost tours in many American cities and this one just wasn’t as fun or interactive as the others. I will definitely try another tour if I return so see what we missed on this one.

5.00Worth the haunt!! Great experience and well detailed by our tour guide. I loved how he knew his haunted stories and truly brought our all of the characters in the tour. We took so many pictures and looking forward to see what we may have caught in the photos. Even a orb.
