Day tour to the beautiful city of Heidelberg, this historic old city on the Neckar is visited by millions of visitors from all over the world every year.

In our tour we will show you the famous castle in Heidelberg, which has a historical history. The whole structure, the castle and the courtyard are impressive with their ruins and their construction. The castle is several centuries old and offers a wonderful view of the city from its huge terrace. Here you can see one of the largest wine barrels in the world.

After the castle visit we will give you some private time and you can walk through the medieval center and visit the Renaissance Haus zum Ritter and the Heiliggeistkirche.

After about 1 hour drive there we will visit Heidelberg Castle. In our tour we will show you the famous castle from Heidelberg, which has a historical history. The whole structure, the castle and the courtyard impress with their ruins and construction. The castle is several centuries old and offers a wonderful view over the city from its huge terrace. Here you are looking at one of the largest wine barrels in the world.

After visiting the castle we walk through the medieval center to the old bridge and the Karlstor, the Renaissance house to the knight, the Heiliggeistkirche. We drive about 1 hour back to the meeting point.

Our tour guide and driver Michael was extremely knowledgeable and provided an extensive history of Europe on the drive to Heidelberg. Once at Heidelberg Castle we had some free time for photos then a tour of the ruins, the apothecary museum which was fascinating and the giant wine barrel. After the Castle we were dropped off in the old town close to the Christmas markets. We found some delicious food at the market and then walked around the old town which is lovely. We went to a cafe with a great cake and biscuit shop for a cup of hot chocolate and apple strudel. All in all an excellent day out full of interesting information and architecture.

Both castle and old town are lovely and very interesting. Learned lots of the history from driver/guide Michael en route from Frankfurt and had some free time in Heidelberg town.
Heidelberg castle tour is a great tour!

Tour guide was amazing, 10/10 would recommend this tour. The van was great, his knowledge is too notch. If you’re older and walk slower I would also recommend.

Nice drive down to Heidelberg with very knowledgeable driver/guide. Only 7 people in our group. Toured old city with Christmas markets!

The castle was beautiful! Wonderful location to get some good pictures. Our guide was multilingual, pleasant, and funny. The old town was a close distance to the castle; quaint town full of Christmas markets. Highly recommend

The tour was excellent! Michael gave us a detailed history lesson, which helped us understand so well what we are seeing. He was friendly and an excellent communicator. Also, an excellent driver. He was also kind enough to arrange for the fog lifting and even a bit of sunshine.
