Our guide, Willie, was hilarious. Driver was friendly and courteous. We went to Heidelberg and Rothenburg in the same day. The trip was awesome! Willie has a gift for what he does. Recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the beauty of Deutschland and be entertained at the same time!

The transportation that we had was an old minibus, the inside was dirty, and the air conditioning did not work at all on the way to Heidelberg which made for an unpleasant ride. Once there the tour felt very quick, but the tour guide George explained a lot and had some interesting and entertaining stories that made it fun. I do wish we could have spent more time inside the castle. The ride back was a bit better since the air conditioning was somewhat working, but it was still not very comfortable. In the end I would have rather found my own separate transportation and just explore Heidelberg on my own without being on a schedule.

A lovely half day tour. Thomas our guide was fantastic. He explained heaps of things related to our drive there and the castle. We had a nice balance of touring together and our own time in the town.

The driver and guide were not very friendly or welcoming on arrival at the meeting point. They seemed bored. Then the guide George waited 15 mins over the start time for some people who, it turned out, were already on the bus?!!!??? He had already received them but...? So we got under way finally and he did not invite us to introduce ourselves so the group never chatted and it set the tone for the day . George told us some general information on the way about Frankfurt and Heidelburg which was interesting but he spoke very fast. Like he was trying to get it over with. The rest of the time he chatted with the driver. At Heidelburg the guiding was ok except for the 'Dad jokes' which were not funny. We had about 1 hour at the castle with the guide, and about half hour guided in the old town, and 1.5 hours free time for lunch etc in the old town. That was plenty. The bus was ok. At the end he invited us to leave a tip, no obligation, but it felt awkward to be asked (not my culture to tip).
