The visitor center in National Park is currently closed for renovation.

Easy tour - Involves walking over relatively level terrain, possible gravel or uneven ground in some areas. Lava tube is .4 of mile long with descending and ascending steps. Comfortable walking shoes & light jacket recommended
WHEELCHAIR / WALKER or SCOOTER ? We must know prior to the tour date if you are bringing a mobility device in order to accommodate. (Please add note to comments box) The mobility unit must not exceed 45 lbs. For various reasons our guides cannot assist with mobility units. Guests must have someone with them to move the mobility device in and out of the vehicle. Our vehicles do not have a lift, so any mobility device must be collapsible to fit through the mini bus doors which is 32” wide.
Mobility Restrictions: Mobility devices cannot go into the lava tube, a trail to the crater is dirt path. Trail to black sand beach in ok but the beach is sand. Customers can stay in the vehicle at any time if they wish. Call us if you have further questions.

Lili'uokalani Gardens
JUNE 1st 2026, this drive by area will be removed and replaced with an extra time and stop inside the Volcanoes National Park. This is the largest Japanese garden outside of Japan donated by Queen Liliʻuokalani in 1917. Throughout the gardens are stone lanterns, gazebos, and torii gates, recalling the Japanese immigrants who came to Hawaii.
JUNE 1st 2026, this drive-by area will be removed and replaced with an extra time and stop inside the Volcanoes National Park. Pass through the historic town of Hilo and see the King Kamehameha Statue learning the story how he has conquered Hawaii.

5.00We had a great time on this tour. Robert (Muscles) picked us up at the pier and was a very informative guide. His knowledge of the big island was amazing, and he was a joy to learn from. His enthusiasm for Hawaii was apparent in every word he spoke. We highly recommend this tour for anyone that wants to see a wide range of sights in a single day tour.

5.00Jess was our tour guide, and she was kind, knowledgeable and informative. Jess shared many fun facts and history throughout the trip, and gave helpful recommendations. I wish there was more time to explore the Macadamia nut factory and the Volcano National Park, but more reason to make another visit to the Big Island! :) thank you Jess for being a fun guide to Hilo!

2.00I will not use them again, the let us sit and wait in the terminal building for one hour without information, before they finally came with a bus and on top they cut the trip with half and hour.

5.00We had a great tour with Hannibal as our guide, such a friendly guy and kept us well entertained on the 6-hour tour. Very good value for money. The weather could have been better for us but we did see the crater and lava lake as well as all the other locations on the itinerary. The lava tube was very cool also.

4.00We got Maggie as our tour guide. She was full of information and tips. We received lots of knowledge of local fun facts and legends. Even with the bad weather the turtles were still out and able to be seen. Lots of other wild life was out and about. While the volcano wasn't active, it was ultimately an amazing experience. We saw the steam geysers. The lava tube was a fun walk. It was an amazing time for our honeymoon, and I can't recommend Maggie as the tour guide enough. She was phenomenal the entire time.

5.00We loved the Black Sand Beaches and Volcano National Park tour with Gio. Gio was very informative and we saw a great deal in our 5 1/2 hours together. Walking through a lava tube was so unique. Gio even shared some personal stories of eruptions that he has lived through. His pictures of the fiery lava shooting over 500 feet showed his artist eye. Great way to spend an educational moment in Hawaii.

5.00Fun and informative tour. Unfortunately, due to the volcanic activity in the park the day before we arrived, some parts of tour could not be done (walk thru the lava tube was closed) but Geo, our guide, still did as much as possible and even took pictures of the tour group at the entrance sign of the Vocano National Park and emailed them to us. Husband and I had a great time
