Visit Peace Memorial Park, the A-Bomb Dome, several monuments and, if you wish, the Peace Memorial Museum, then enjoy the seasonal beauty of Shukkeien Garden. This tour is ideal for first-time visitors, couples, families and cruise passengers.
Your friendly licensed guide will explain Hiroshima’s history, recovery and daily life in an easy-to-understand way. We mainly use public transportation during the tour.
*Hotel pick-up: the guide will meet you at your hotel and travel with you by public transport to the starting point.
*If you prefer to use taxis, they can be arranged, but fares are at your own expense.
Cruise port pick-up: please pay the round-trip local taxi fare between the port and city center on the spot.

You will walk around the park, learning Hiroshima's history and cultural heritages. Our guide will explain what kind of messages each monument/statue deliver.
Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum
You will walk trough the Peace Memorial Museum, and will see a number of important exhibitions inside. A ticket is included in this tour. You can go around the museum by yourself, or walk trough with the guide.

5.00Our guide, Mayumi, was very knowledgeable and friendly. Just be prepared to walk a lot, we walked over 9 miles that day, with stops of course to see the sights.

5.00We booked the 4 hr Hiroshima private tour a month before departure. A week before flying, Mrs. Minami Koh contacted us through Whatsapp. Mrs. Koh wanted to make sure we knew how to get to the meeting point coming from Tokyo. This was very reassuring and we felt we were in great hands. Upon arrival, our guide - Mrs. Sakamoto - was waiting for us at the Bus station. The trip from Tokyo was very easy and we were happy to meet her. Mrs. Sakamoto spoke perfect English and being a local she was able to share in-depth knowledge about Hiroshima's history and traditions. Our tour focused mainly on the Atomic Bomb Dome and the Peace Memorial Park and Museum. But we spent quite a bit of time at the incredibly beautiful Shukkei-en Garden. While traveling from one place to another with Mrs. Sakamoto we couldn't help but notice the beauty all around us and how much Hiroshima has to offer. I wish we had stayed longer... We are grateful Mrs. Sakamoto was very patient with us and shared so much information.

5.00I was interested mostly in the WW2 history aspect of Hiroshima. I was very fortunate to have had Ms. Mayu as my guide. She is a native of Hiroshima, with excellent English, and she threaded a very nice walk through the main locations relevant to the nuclear bomb drop. In addition to explaining the key monuments and events, I very much appreciated her examples of how it affects life even today in subtle ways.

5.00It was very moving. Actually, the most moving part was that our guide’s 95-year-old mother survived the bomb but her mother’s pregnant sister and mother, who were with her, did not. Her mother was trapped under rubble for 14 hours until a passing German priest heard her cries and he dug her out. Being buried is what saved her from the fallout and black rain. When she dies, her name will be placed inside a sarcophagus that’s part of the monument to victims of the A-Bomb.

5.00Great personalized 4 hour private tour. We were able to see the peace memorial, the atomic bomb memorial and meyjing island with the floating Torii gate. Our guide was knowledgeable and made sure we made it to our next destination, Kyoto with detail instructions. Wonderful day and great experience! Book it now!!
