OPTIONAL STOP: This was living area for 13 Emperors of the Nguyen Dynasty from 1804 to 1945 when Hue was the Capital of Vietnam. You will have 2.5 hours walking in Imperial City and Forbidden City to learn about history of hue and Vietnamese royal culture with local expert.
Hue Imperial City (The Citadel)
OPTIONAL STOP: Hue Imperial Citadel is the Home of Vietnam's last Royal Dynasty, and the complex of the monument is the first UNESCO Heritage Site in Vietnam. In 1802, after Nguyen Phuc Anh founded the Nguyen Dynasty. He became the first King with tittle Gia Long, and decided Hue to become the Capital for the whole Country. In 1804, King Gia Long decided to build Imperial Citadel in the present area.

Duration: 7 hours: But time is flexible and depends on number of sites you like to visit and how much time you like to spend in each stop.
Motorbike Travel Insurance: We include Motorbike Insurance covered up to 50.000.000VND. Please provide your passport 's details if you need insurance.
Scooter with Driver & Helmet: We have scooter with helmet. Tour guide and driver will take you on tour, you just need to seat behind and enjoy your time.

5.00Interesting historical walking tour. Our tour guide Duy did a great job of showing us the ancient imperial city, explaining how life used to be and he was well able to answer any questions we had. Would recommend. We got a lot more context than if we had been walking around ourselves

5.00My partner and I had a great motorbike tour with Tommy. We were able to explore the city of Hue by bike, while also seeing major historical sites. Tommy was very knowledgeable of the city, its history, and the significance of each site visited. We had a great time and would recommend a tour with Tommy in Hue.

5.00We had a morning walking tour with Duy as our guide. We may have seen more or spent more time at each historic building and site as we got lucky and were the only participants for this morning tour. Duy was good and thorough in explaining the history and purpose of each sight in much detail and we learned a lot from him. If your English is not very good you might lose some details especially as much information is provided in short time, however I think it would not lessen the experience. We were totally fine with it. But for those who are interested, we saw and heard some tours being provided in Spanish, German, French and Japanese as well to various groups. The amount of walking is not too much, but combined with (low) climbs to some buildings and a lot of standing, you want to put on your best and most comfortable shoes for walking. It gets hotter during the day, so you will want to do this in the morning!

5.00A fabulous 2.5 hour walking tour of the Imperial City. Our guide, Ha Nugyen, was excellent - the right mix of information and then allowing us to wander around on our own. So interesting to learn about the history of Vietnam. Would highly recommend.
