Dave is very professional yet entertaining and informative, covering many topics from history to politics to education system and economy. With 20 people in the group, it was still personalised enough to ask questions and the pace was slow with lots of stops. Even so there were options offered to purchase authentic El Salvadorian food and drink at various stops as part of the experience, there was never a hard sell or push. We enjoyed the walk immensely and loved all the food for thought. 😃

Passionate and engaging guide (Dave). The tour was informative and very interesting. I enjoyed the walking tour, learning about the history/present/future and getting my steps in. Get the pupusa from Khuskatan!

Javier was an amazing tour guide, we learned so much about San Salvador, Centro Historico, and the history of San Salvador. Javier brought it all to life for us - if you’re looking at this tour, you should take it!

Dave was great! Enthusiastic, knowledgeable and a strong ambassador for El Salvador. A buddy of mine and myself did the tour our first afternoon in San Salvador and it was a great introduction to El Salvador and San Salvador. Highly recommend Dave.

I had such a great experience touring around San Salvador with Dave. He is like a walking encyclopedia of El Salvador. We met in the center of Park Cusclatan. Btw--there is a great, free art exhibit a few steps away. If you come to the park early, definitely go!! There are a handful of people you meet in your like and you think, "wow! This person is awesome!" This is Dave. Dave is incredibly optimistic and hopeful for the future of El Salvador--much like everyone else I met in the country. Touring around the city with him really set a great tone for the rest of my trip. It is like a walking history lesson everywhere you go with him. There was an American guy who works at the US Embassy who had been on his tour 3 times. His Dad was visiting from Texas, and he wanted to make sure he had the 'Dave' experience. Regardless if you get Dave or not, the tour was well worth it. I would recommend coming with questions so you get the most out of his knowledge and expertise. He is a very cool guy and will definitely recommend my friends to take his tour in the future. FYI--he has a website and you can WhatsApp him directly beforehand. Tours are in English and Spanish. Enjoy!

I had a long stopover at San Salvador Airport and couldn't find any available layover tour, until I found Dave's website. He immediately replied and arranged everything. Everything was organized from the airport pickup, to bringing me to a cool breakfast place before the tour, to doing the impressive tour, and up to bringing me to the locals' place to try authentic pupusa. Dave was very energetic from start to end. He shared lots of interesting information about the past history and present situation of his country. I highly recommend doing a tour with him. Thanks Dave for a short but wonderful introduction of your country. I will surely go back!
