This tour can be completely tailored to your bespoke requirements. It is a private tour for your group only and we can incorporate as little or as much of each destination as you would like.
The Mystical Isle of Skye is not just amazing for its astonishing natural beauty but also for the enchanting stories and folklore telling of mythical creatures, witches and water-horses, giants and ghosts, saints and sinners, fairies and kelpies. I aim to be your story teller and pass on my beautiful knowledge of the ancient tales, mainly from the Gaelic–Norse period, which have been handed down by word of mouth to entertain many generations of Island people with deeds of heroism and bravery against implacable forces.

Eilean Donan Castle is one of the most recognisable and stunningly beautiful castles in the world, featured in many famous movies including including Bonnie Prince Charlie (1948), The Master of Ballantree (1953), The New Avengers (1976), Highlander (1986), Loch Ness (1996), Entrapment (1999) and James Bond – The World is Not Enough (1999). Situated on a small island where three great sea lochs meet, this Scottish castle is surrounded by breathtaking views that seem too picturesque to be real. It's no wonder that it's become a must-see attraction for anyone visiting the area.

The largest town on the Isle of Skye which has some lovely little craft shops as well as mesmerizing views of the beautifully coloured houses in Portree Harbour.

5.00Emma was an excellent guide. She didn’t get frazzled when I changed what we wanted to do and see at the last minute. She happily gave her expertise and insight on where to go and we had an amazing experience. She gave us detailed information on what we were seeing and the history behind every aspect of our trip. She was lovely to talk to and even went out of her way to help me recover a treasured bracelet that I had left in a hotel in Inverness. She drove out of her way to get it and then promptly mailed it to me. This is highly unheard of in these days and times. The Scottish people have all been wonderful and Emma is a real standout. I would highly recommend hiring her services anytime you want an excellent tour guide. ♥️

5.00Great visit to Skye, seen more on a one day tour than expected. Tour guide was very knowledgeable. Great value for money and guide was very accommodating when I booked at short notice due to a last minute surprise trip to Scotland.

5.00Emma was awesome! Super informative, flexible, safe driver, and very fun! She took us to some amazing spots and made sure we got the full experience of the Highlands and the Isle of Skye! 10/10 would recommend!!

5.00Emma @macaulaytravels is an amazing tour guide. She is knowledgeable, professional, warm and pleasant. We toured Inverness and the Isle of Skye with Emma and her very comfortable air conditioned Mercedes van. When our tickets on the ferry were cancelled Emma arranged to pickup our family from Mallaig and drive us onto the Isle of Skye providing Scottish history, legends and myths along the way. Emma is passionate about sharing her love of Scotland and her hospitality is first class. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. You would be lucky to have her as your guide through Scotland. Thank you Emma for making our trip to Scotland even more special.
