Absolutely fantastic experience and our tour Guide was amazing! Grace was so knowledgeable about the area and kept us moving at a nice pace. I would highly recommend this tour and if you can get Grace as a guide, even better!

It was good all the way around, I would recommend it, maybe a little pricey for what you get , but still worth it

This is one of the great tour I had. Explore other side of Hong Kong. Show famous spots - Big Buddha and Dolphin Watching . Great chance to take stunning photos and enjoy natural landscapes. Totally worth it. Especially, Guide was amazing. They would call us one day before the tour in order to make sure that we knew how to get there. This is what I really like it. It was very full and customized services.

Our tour guide, Grace was amazing. She was a wealth of information which she presented with fantastic humor that kept us totally engaged. She made sure at the end of the tour that we all had specific information to get back to our hotels. Actually she escorted my husband and I back as she saw we were a little nervous use the sub ton our own. One of the best tour guides and tours we have had with Viator.

This tour was a complete letdown from start to finish—and we’re honestly still wondering how it has any positive reviews at all. Let’s start with the guide. Grace may have been well-meaning, but her delivery was condescending and exhausting. From the moment we booked, she was calling and texting incessantly—even before the tour began. While we understand the intent was to ensure punctuality, the aggressive communication style came off as intrusive and off-putting. Once the tour started, it didn’t get better. Grace barked instructions like we were kindergarteners, repeating herself five times each stop, complete with bizarre sound effects and a tone that was more irritating than informative. We did not feel like we were learning about Lantau Island—just being herded around under pressure. The logistics were equally disappointing. For the price, it’s laughable that we were using entirely public transportation. The MTR fare was out of pocket, and the ride to Tai O on the public bus was a nightmare—packed to the brim, with people standing shoulder-to-shoulder on a narrow, winding road for nearly 40 minutes. It was incredibly uncomfortable, motion sickness-inducing, and completely misrepresented in the tour description. As for the “dolphin watching” component—don’t be fooled. This is barely a possibility and should not be listed as part of the tour. It’s misleading, plain and simple. The only highlight? The cable car. But even that wasn’t included in the price—it was an expensive add-on. Had we known in advance just how much time would be spent on uncomfortable public transit and how little value the guide would provide, we absolutely would have skipped this tour altogether. Save your money, your patience, and your stomach—explore Lon your own. You’ll have a far better time.
